حَدِيثُ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا
Hadith of Zaynab bint Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with her)
Hadith 27413
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ , عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ , عَنْ عُرْوَةَ , عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ , عَنْ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتِ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ , عَنْ أُمِّهَا أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ , عَنْ زَيْنَبَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ سُفْيَانُ : أَرْبَعُ نِسْوَةٍ , قَالَتِ : اسْتَيْقَظَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ نَوْمٍ , وَهُوَ مُحْمَرٌّ وَجْهُهُ , وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : " لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ , وَيْلٌ لِلْعَرَبِ مِنْ شَرٍّ قَدْ اقْتَرَبَ , فُتِحَ الْيَوْمَ مِنْ رَدْمِ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ مِثْلُ هَذِهِ " , وَحَلَّقَ , قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , أَنَهْلِكُ وَفِينَا الصَّالِحُونَ ؟ ! قَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَعَمْ إِذَا كَثُرَ الْخَبَثُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Zainab bint Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) woke up from sleep and his blessed face was red, and he was saying: “«لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ» Woe to the Arabs from the evil that has drawn near! Today, a hole as big as this has been opened in the barrier of Gog and Magog,” and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) made a circle with his finger to show its size. I asked: O Messenger of Allah! Will we be destroyed while there are righteous people among us? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Yes, when filth increases (then it happens so).”
Hadith 27414
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي , عَنْ صَالِحٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ كَيْسَانَ , قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ , حَدَّثَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتَ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَتْ , عَنْ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ , عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ , قَالَتْ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا فَزِعًا , يَقُولُ : " لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ , وَيْلٌ لِلْعَرَبِ مِنْ شَرٍّ قَدْ اقْتَرَبَ , فُتِحَ الْيَوْمَ مِنْ رَدْمِ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ مِثْلُ هَذَا " , قَالَ : وَحَلَّقَ بِأُصْبُعَيْهِ الْإِبْهَامِ وَالَّتِي تَلِيهَا , قَالَتْ زَيْنَبُ بِنْتُ جَحْشٍ : فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , أَنَهْلِكُ وَفِينَا الصَّالِحُونَ ؟ ! قَالَ : " نَعَمْ , إِذَا كَثُرَ الْخَبَثُ " .

Hadith 27415
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي , عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ , حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ ابْنُ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ رُكَانَةَ , عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ , عَنْ أَبِي الْجَرَّاحِ مَوْلَى أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , عَنْ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ أَنَّهَا حَدَّثَتْهُ , عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ , قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , يَقُولُ : " لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَأَمَرْتُهُمْ بِالسِّوَاكِ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ , كَمَا يَتَوَضَّئُونَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: If I had not feared hardship for my Ummah, I would have commanded them to use the miswak at every prayer time "when they perform ablution."
Hadith 27416
