It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) heard the muezzin giving the call to prayer, he would repeat the same words that he was saying until he became silent.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: After eating something cooked on fire, perform ablution.

It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her) that once some people from Yemen came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taught them the method of prayer, its Sunnahs and obligations. Then those people said: O Messenger of Allah! We make a drink from wheat and barley. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The same one which is called «غبيراء»?" The people replied: Yes! The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not drink it." Two days later, they mentioned the same thing again. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) again asked: "The same one which is called «غبيراء»?" This question and answer happened three times, and even while departing, the same question and answer took place. The people said that the people of Yemen will not leave it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever does not leave it, cut off his neck."

It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she was married to Ubaidullah bin Jahsh. Once, Ubaidullah went to the court of Najashi and passed away there. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) then married Hazrat Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her) while she was still in the land of Habsha. Najashi acted as the Prophet’s (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) representative and performed the marriage, giving her a dowry of four thousand dirhams and sending her off from his place, and sent her to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) with Hazrat Sharjeel bin Hasnah (may Allah be pleased with him). All these arrangements were made at Najashi’s place; the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had not sent anything to her. The dowry of the pure wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was four hundred dirhams.

I requested my Lord to grant me the right of intercession for them on the Day of Judgment, and thus my Lord granted it.

It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that once Hazrat Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her) came to the presence of the Messenger of Allah and said: "O Messenger of Allah! Are you interested in my sister?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What do you mean?" She said that you should marry her. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Do you like this?" She replied: "Yes! I am not your only wife, so among those who can share in goodness with me, my sister is the most deserving in my view." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "She is not lawful for me (because you are in my marriage)." She said: "By Allah! I have heard that you are going to send a marriage proposal for Durrah bint Umm Salamah." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Even if she were lawful for me, I would not marry her because both her father (Abu Salamah) and I were suckled by Thuwaibah, the freed slave woman of Banu Hashim. In any case, do not present your sisters and daughters before me."
