حَدِيثُ أُمِّ كُرْزٍ الْكَعْبِيَّةِ الْخُزَاعِيَّةِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا
Hadith of Umm Kuraz al-Ka‘biyyah al-Khuzā‘iyyah (may Allah be pleased with her)
Hadith 27369
حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ , قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مَنْصُورٌ , عَنْ عَطَاءٍ , عن حبيبة بنت ميسرة , عَنْ أُمِّ كُرْزٍ الْكَعْبِيَّةِ الْخزاعية , عنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْعَقِيقَةِ , فَقَالَ : " عَنِ الْغُلَامِ شَاتَانِ مُكَافَأَتَانِ , وَعَنِ الْجَارِيَةِ شَاةٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Karz (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "For a boy, two goats should be sacrificed for 'Aqiqah, and for a girl, one goat."
Hadith 27370
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ , عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ , عَنْ أُمِّ كُرْزٍ الْخُزَاعِيَّةِ , قَالَتْ : أُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِغُلَامٍ , فَبَالَ عَلَيْهِ , " فَأَمَرَ بِهِ فَنُضِحَ " , وَأُتِيَ بِجَارِيَةٍ , فَبَالَتْ عَلَيْهِ , " فَأَمَرَ بِهِ فَغُسِلَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Qarz (may Allah be pleased with her) that a small boy was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he urinated on the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that water be sprinkled over it. Then a girl was brought, and she urinated, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that it be washed.
Hadith 27371
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ , عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ , حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءٌ , عَنْ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتِ مَيْسَرَةَ , عَنْ أُمِّ كُرْزٍ الْكَعْبِيَّةِ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " عَنِ الْغُلَامِ شَاتَانِ , وَعَنِ الْجَارِيَةِ شَاةٌ " .

Hadith 27372
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ , عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ , وَعَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ , قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ , قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ , عَنْ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتِ مَيْسَرَةَ بْنِ أَبِي خُثَيْمٍ , عَنْ أُمِّ بَنِي كُرْزٍ الْكَعْبِيَّةِ , أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْعَقِيقَةِ , فَقَالَ : " عَنِ الْغُلَامِ شَاتَانِ مُكَافَأَتَانِ , وَعَنِ الْجَارِيَةِ شَاةٌ " , قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ : مَا الْمُكَافَأَتَانِ ؟ قَالَ : الْمِثْلَانِ , قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : وَالضَّأْنُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنَ الْمَعْزِ , وَذَكَرَ أَنَّهَا أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ إِنَاثِهَا , قَالَ : وَنُحِبُّ أَنْ يَجْعَلَهُ سَوَادَهَا مِنْهُ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Karz (may Allah be pleased with her) that I asked the Prophet (peace be upon him) about 'Aqiqah. He said: "For a boy, two goats should be sacrificed for 'Aqiqah, and for a girl, one goat."
Hadith 27373
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ , قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ , قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي يَزِيدَ , عَنْ سِبَاعِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ , أَنَّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ ثَابِتِ بْنِ سِبَاعٍ أَخْبَرَهُ , أَنَّ أُمَّ كُرْزٍ أَخْبَرَتْهُ , أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْعَقِيقَةِ , فَقَالَ : " يُعَقُّ عَنِ الْغُلَامِ شَاتَانِ , وَعَنِ الْأُنْثَى وَاحِدَةٌ , وَلَا يَضُرُّكُمْ أَذُكْرَانًا كُنَّ أَوْ إِنَاثًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Karz (may Allah be pleased with her) that I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about 'Aqiqah. He said: "For a boy, two goats should be sacrificed for 'Aqiqah, and for a girl, one goat. And it does not matter whether the animal is male or female."
Hadith 27374
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ , قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ , قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي يَزِيدَ , أَنَّ سِبَاعَ ابْنَ ثَابِتِ بْنِ عم مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ ثَابِتِ بْنِ سِبَاعٍ أَخْبَرَهُ , أَنَّ أُمَّ كُرْزٍ أَخْبَرَتْهُ : أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْعَقِيقَةِ ، فَذَكَرَهُ.
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
