حَدِيثُ أُمِّ مُبَشِّرٍ امْرَأَةِ زَيْدِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا
Hadith of Umm Mubashshir, the wife of Zayd ibn Harithah (may Allah be pleased with her)
Hadith 27361
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ , عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ , قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ جَابِرًا , قَالَ : حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمُّ مُبَشِّرٍ امْرَأَةِ زَيْدِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ , قَالَتْ : دَخَلْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَائِطٍ , فَقَالَ : " لَكِ هَذَا ؟ " , فَقُلْتُ : نَعَمْ , فَقَالَ : " مَنْ غَرَسَهُ مُسْلِمٌ أَوْ كَافِرٌ ؟ " , قُلْتُ : مُسْلِمٌ , قَالَ : " مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يَزْرَعُ أَوْ يَغْرِسُ غَرْسًا , فَيَأْكُلُ مِنْهُ طَائِرٌ , أَوْ إِنْسَانٌ , أَوْ سَبُعٌ أَوْ شَيْءٌ , إِلَّا كَانَ لَهُ صَدَقَةً " , قَالَ أَبِي : وَلَمْ يَكُنْ فِي النُّسْخَةِ , سَمِعْتُ جَابِرًا , فَقَالَ ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ : سَمِعْتَ جابرًا.
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Mubashir (may Allah be pleased with her) that once I visited the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in a garden. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Is this yours?" I replied: "Yes!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Have the plants been planted by a Muslim or a disbeliever?" I replied: "By a Muslim." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whenever a Muslim plants a plant or sows a crop, and a human, bird, beast, or animal eats from it, it is counted as charity for him."
Hadith 27362
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ , قالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ , قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ , أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرًا , قَالَ : حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمُّ مُبَشِّرٍ , أَنَّها سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِنْدَ حَفْصَةَ , يَقُولُ : " لَا يَدْخُلُ النَّارَ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الشَّجَرَةِ أَحَدٌ , الَّذِينَ بَايَعُوا تَحْتَهَا " , فَقَالَتْ : بَلَى , يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , فَانْتَهَرَهَا , فَقَالَتْ حفْصَةُ : وَإِنْ مِنْكُمْ إِلا وَارِدُهَا سورة مريم آية 71 فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قَدْ قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ثُمَّ نُنَجِّي الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا وَنَذَرُ الظَّالِمِينَ فِيهَا جِثِيًّا سورة مريم آية 72 " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Mubashir (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said in the house of Hazrat Hafsa (may Allah be pleased with her): "I hope, inshaAllah, that none of those who participated in the Battle of Badr and Hudaybiyyah will enter Hell." Hazrat Hafsa (may Allah be pleased with her) submitted, "Does Allah Almighty not say that «وَإِنْ مِنْكُمْ إِلا وَارِدُهَا» 'Every one of you will enter it.'" So I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reciting this verse: «ثُمَّ نُنَجِّي الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا وَنَذَرُ الظَّالِمِينَ فِيهَا جِثِيًّا» "Then We will save those who feared Allah and leave the wrongdoers therein, fallen on their knees."
