حَدِيثُ أُمِّ الْحُصَيْنِ الْأَحْمَسِيَّةِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا
Hadith of Umm al-Husayn al-Ahmasiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her)
Hadith 27259
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ , عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ , عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ , عَنْ أُمِّ الْحُصَيْنِ جَدَّتِهِ , قَالَتْ : " حَجَجْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَجَّةَ الْوَدَاعِ , فَرَأَيْتُ أُسَامَةَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ , وَبِلَالًا ، وَأَحَدُهُمَا آخِذٌ بِخِطَامِ نَاقَةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالْآخَرُ رَافِعٌ ثَوْبَهُ يَسْتُرُهُ مِنَ الْحَرِّ , حَتَّى رَمَى جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Husain (may Allah be pleased with her) that during the Farewell Pilgrimage, I also performed Hajj with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I saw Hazrat Usama and Hazrat Bilal (may Allah be pleased with them both); one of them was holding the reins of the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) camel, and the other was raising a cloth to provide shade from the heat, until the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had stoned the Jamrah Aqabah.
Hadith 27260
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قَطَنٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ , عَنِ الْعَيْزَارِ بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ ، عَنْ أُمِّ الْحُصَيْنِ الْأَحْمَسِيَّةِ ، قَالَتْ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ يَخْطُبُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ , عَلَيْهِ بُرْدٌ لَهُ , قَدْ الْتَفَعَ بِهِ مِنْ تَحْتِ إِبْطِهِ , قَالَتْ : فَأَنَا أَنْظُرُ إِلَى عَضَلَةِ عَضُدِهِ تَرْتَجُّ , فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ : " يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ، وَإِنْ أُمِّرَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَبْدٌ حبشي مُجَدَّعٌ ، فَاسْمَعُوا لَهُ وَأَطِيعُوا مَا أَقَامَ فِيكُمْ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " .
Yahya bin Husain narrates from his grandmother that I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) saying in the Farewell Pilgrimage sermon: O people! Fear Allah. Even if a slave is appointed over you who leads you according to the Book of Allah, then listen to him and obey him.
Hadith 27261
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ ، عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ ، قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : " يَرْحَمُ اللَّهُ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ ، يَرْحَمُ اللَّهُ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ " ، قَالُوا فِي الثَّالِثَةِ : وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ ؟ قَالَ : " وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ " .
Yahya bin Husain narrates from his grandmother that I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say three times: "May Allah's mercy be upon those who shave their heads." The third time, people requested that those who shorten their hair also be included in the supplication, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) included them as well.
Hadith 27262
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ , عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ , عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ , عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ , عَنْ أُمِّهِ , قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِعَرَفَاتٍ يَخْطُبُ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ ، يَقُولُ : " يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ، اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ، وَاسْمَعُوا وَأَطِيعُوا , وَإِنْ أُمِّرَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَبْدٌ حَبَشِيٌّ مُجَدَّعٌ , مَا أَقَامَ فِيكُمْ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " .

Hadith 27263
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ , عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ الْحُصَيْنِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَتْنِي جَدَّتِي ، قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , يَقُولُ : " وَلَوْ اسْتُعْمِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَبْدٌ يَقُودُكُمْ بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، فَاسْمَعُوا لَهُ وَأَطِيعُوا " .
Yahya bin Husain narrates from his grandmother that I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) saying in the sermon of the Farewell Pilgrimage: O people! Fear Allah. Even if a slave is appointed over you who leads you according to the Book of Allah, then listen to him and obey him.
Hadith 27264
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ , حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ حُصَيْنٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ جَدَّتِي , تَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِعَرَفَاتٍ يَخْطُبُ , يَقُولُ : " غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لِلْمُحَلِّقِينَ " ، ثَلَاثَ مِرَارٍ ، قَالُوا : وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ ؟ فَقَالَ : " وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ " , فِي الرَّابِعَةِ . قَالَتْ : وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ : " إِنْ اسْتُعْمِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَبْدٌ يَقُودُكُمْ بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ ، فَاسْمَعُوا لَهُ وَأَطِيعُوا " .
Yahya bin Husain narrates from his grandmother that I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say three times: "May Allah's mercy descend upon those who shave their heads." The third time, people requested that those who shorten their hair be included in the supplication as well, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) included them too. And I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say: "If even a slave is appointed over you, who leads you according to the Book of Allah, then listen to him and obey him."
Hadith 27265
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ , قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ جَدَّتِي , تُحَدِّثُ : أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ ، يَقُولُ : " لَوْ اسْتُعْمِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَبْدٌ يَقُودُكُمْ بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ , فَاسْمَعُوا لَهُ وَأَطِيعُوا " .

Hadith 27266

Hadith 27267
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ , عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ جَدَّتِي , تُحَدِّثُ : أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِنًى , دَعَا لِلْمُحَلِّقِينَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ , فَقِيلَ لَهُ : وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ ؟ فَقَالَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ : " والْمُقَصِّرِينَ " .

Hadith 27269
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : يَحْيَى بْنُ الْحُصَيْنِ , أَخْبَرَنِي , أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَدَّتَهُ ، قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ بِعَرَفَاتٍ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : " وَلَوْ اسْتُعْمِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَبْدٌ يَقُودُكُمْ بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ فَاسْمَعُوا لَهُ وَأَطِيعُوا " , قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ : وسَمِعْت أَبِي يَقُولُ : إِنِّي لَأَرَى لَهُ السَّمْعَ وَالطَّاعَةَ فِي الْعُسْرِ وَالْيُسْرِ ، وَالْمَنْشَطِ وَالْمَكْرَهِ.
Yahya bin Husain narrates from his grandmother that I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say: If a slave is appointed over you who leads you according to the Book of Allah, then listen to him and obey him.
Hadith 27270
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قَالَ : قال شُعْبَةُ , أَتَيْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ الْحُصَيْنِ فَسَأَلْتُهُ فَقَالَ : حَدَّثَتْنِي جَدَّتِي ، قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , يَقُولُ وَهُوَ وَاقِفٌ بِعَرَفَةَ : " إِنْ أُمِّرَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَبْدٌ حَبَشِيٌّ ، فَاسْمَعُوا لَهُ وَأَطِيعُوا مَا قَادَكُمْ بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى " .
