حَدِيثُ أَبِي مَحْذُورَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ
Hadith of Abu Mahdhurah (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 27252
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَامِرٌ الْأَحْوَلُ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَكْحُولٌ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَيْرِيزٍ ، أَنَّ أَبَا مَحْذُورَةَ حَدَّثَهُ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَقَّنَهُ الْأَذَانَ تِسْعَ عَشْرَةَ كَلِمَةً ، وَالْإِقَامَةَ سَبْعَ عَشْرَةَ كَلِمَةً : " اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ , اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ , اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ , اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ , أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ , أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ , أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ , أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ , حَيَّ عَلَى الصَّلَاةِ , حَيَّ عَلَى الصَّلَاةِ , حَيَّ عَلَى الْفَلَاحِ ، حَيَّ عَلَى الْفَلَاحِ , اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ , اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ , لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ " , وَالْإِقَامَةُ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى , لَا يُرَجِّعُ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Mahdhurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) himself taught me nineteen words of the adhan and seventeen words of the iqamah and said: Say «الله اكبر» four times, say «اشهدان لا اله الا الله» two times, say «اشهد ان محمدا رسول الله» two times, then say «حي على الصلاة» and «حي على الفلاح» each two times, then say «الله اكبر» two times, and then say « لا اله الا الله». And the words of the iqamah are each said two times and there is no tarjeeh in them.
Hadith 27253
حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هُذَيْلُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مَحْذُورَةَ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَوْ عَنْ جَدِّهِ , قَالَ : " جَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْأَذَانَ لَنَا وَلِمَوَالِينَا , وَالسِّقَايَةَ لِبَنِي هَاشِمٍ , وَالْحِجَابَةَ لِبَنِي عَبْدِ الدَّار " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Mahzura (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) assigned the honor of giving the call to prayer (adhan) to us and our freed slaves, entrusted the service of providing water to Banu Hashim, and gave the office of key-bearer to Banu Abdud-Dar.
