It is narrated from Hazrat Suwaid bin Tariq (may Allah be pleased with him) that he submitted in the court: O Messenger of Allah! We live in a region of grapes, can we squeeze them (and drink their wine)? The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No." He asked: Can we give it to patients as a treatment? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no cure in it, rather it is a disease."

It is narrated from Hazrat Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) granted him a piece of land and sent Hazrat Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) with him so that he could identify the portion. On the way, Hazrat Amir Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) said to me, "Let me ride behind you." I said, "You cannot sit behind kings." He said, "Then at least give me your shoes." I said, "Consider the shadow of the she-camel as your shoe." Then, when Hazrat Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) was appointed as the Caliph and I went to him, he seated me with him on the throne and reminded me of the aforementioned incident. He says that at that time I thought, "If only I had let him ride in front of me."

It is narrated from Hazrat Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a woman set out to pray, and on the way she met a man. He covered her with his clothes and fulfilled his desire with her and then disappeared. Meanwhile, another man came near the woman. She said to him, "A man has done such and such with me." That person went to search for him. In the meantime, a group of Ansar passed by the woman and stopped. The woman told them the same thing, "A man has done such and such with me." Those people also set out in search and brought back the man who had gone out to look for the wrongdoer, and they presented him before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The woman also said, "This is the one." When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered him to be stoned, the real wrongdoer stepped forward and said, "O Messenger of Allah! By Allah, I am that man." Upon this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the woman, "Go, Allah has forgiven you." And he praised that man. Someone asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Why do you not stone him?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "He has repented in such a way that if all the people of Madinah repented like this, it would be accepted from them."
