حَدِيثُ قَارِبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ
Hadith of Qarib (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 27202
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ قَارِبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُحَلِّقِينَ " ، قَالَ رَجُلٌ : وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ ؟ قَالَ فِي الرَّابِعَةِ : " وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ " , يُقَلِّلُهُ سُفْيَانُ بِيَدِهِ ، قَالَ سُفْيَانُ : وَقَالَ فِي تِيكَ ، كَأَنَّهُ يُوَسِّعُ يَدَهُ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Qarib (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah! Forgive those who shave their heads." A man submitted: O Messenger of Allah! Pray for those who shorten their hair as well. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) again said: "O Allah! Forgive those who shave their heads." The fourth time, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also included those who shorten their hair in his supplication.
