Hadith 27148
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، قالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنْ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ بُجَيْدٍ ، عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ أُمِّ بُجَيْدٍ ، قَالَتْ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , وَاللَّهِ إِنَّ الْمِسْكِينَ لَيَقِفُ عَلَى بَابِي حَتَّى أَسْتَحْيِيَ ، فَلَا أَجِدُ فِي بَيْتِي مَا أدْفَعُ فِي يَدِهِ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ارْفَعِي فِي يَدِهِ وَلَوْ ظِلْفًا مُحْرَقًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Bajid (may Allah be pleased with her) that once I submitted in the court of Prophethood: O Messenger of Allah! Sometimes a poor person comes and stands at the door of my house, and I feel ashamed that I have nothing at home to give him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Place something in his hand, even if it is only a burnt hoof."
Hadith 27149
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ , وَأَبُو كَامِلٍ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدٌ يَعْنِي الْمَقْبُرِيَّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ بُجَيْدٍ أَخِي بَنِي حَارِثَةَ ، أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَتْهُ جَدَّتُهُ وَهِيَ أمُ بُجَيْدٍ ، وَكَانَتْ تُزْعَمُ مِمَّنْ بَايَعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ ".
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 27150
حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ ، حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدٌ يَعْنِي الْمَقْبُرِيَّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ بُجَيْدٍ أَخِي بَنِي حَارِثَةَ ، أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَتْهُ جَدَّتُهُ وَهِيَ أُمُّ بُجَيْدٍ ، وَكَانَتْ مِمَّنْ بَايَعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : وَاللَّهِ إِنَّ الْمِسْكِينَ لَيَقُومُ عَلَى بَابِي , فَمَا أَجِدُ لَهُ شَيْئًا أُعْطِيهِ إِيَّاهُ ، فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنْ لَمْ تَجِدِي لَهُ شَيْئًا تُعْطِينَهُ إِيَّاهُ إِلَّا ظِلْفًا مُحْرَقًا , فَادْفَعِيهِ إِلَيْهِ فِي يَدِهِ " .

حدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ بُجَيْدٍ ، عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ أُمِّ بُجَيْدٍ , أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْتِينَا فِي بَنِي عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ ، فَأَتَّخِذُ لَهُ سَوِيقَةً فِي قَعْبَةٍ لِي ، فَإِذَا جَاءَ سَقَيْتُهَا إِيَّاهُ ، قَالَتْ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّهُ يَأْتِينِي السَّائِلُ ، فَأَتَزَهَّدُ لَهُ بَعْضَ مَا عِنْدِي ، فَقَالَ : " ضَعِي فِي يَدِ الْمِسْكِينِ ، وَلَوْ ظِلْفًا مُحْرَقًا " .

Hadith 27152
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ الْأَسَدِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ بِجَادٍ ، عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " رُدُّوا السَّائِلَ ، وَلَوْ بِظِلْفِ شَاةٍ مُحْرَقٍ أَوْ مُحْتَرِقٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Bajid (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Place something in the hand of the beggar, even if it is a burnt hoof."
