It is narrated from Hazrat Zainab (may Allah be pleased with her) that one day the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) addressed us and said: "O group of women! I have seen that on the Day of Resurrection, the majority of the people of Hell will be from among you, so give charity as much as you can to seek nearness to Allah, even if it is from your jewelry." She says that Hazrat Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) was financially weak, so I said to him, "Ask the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) whether it would be correct if I spend on my husband and the orphans under my care?" Since the personality of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was awe-inspiring, he said to me, "You go yourself and ask him." I went, and there was another Ansari woman named Zainab present there, and she had the same question as I did. Hazrat Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) came out, so we asked him to present this issue to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He went inside and said, "Zainab is at the door." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Which Zainab?" (because this was the name of several women). Hazrat Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) informed him that it was the wife of Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) and she is asking this question. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us and said: "They will receive a double reward, one for maintaining family ties and one for giving charity."
Hadith 27049
It is narrated from Hazrat Zainab (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave women their share in inheritance.

It is narrated from Hazrat Kulthum that once Hazrat Zainab (may Allah be pleased with her) was removing lice from the head of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). At that time, the wife of Hazrat Uthman bin Maz'oon (may Allah be pleased with him) was also present there, along with other emigrant women. They were discussing their household difficulties and how, after leaving Makkah, they had fallen into hardship. Hazrat Zainab (may Allah be pleased with her) also left the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) head and joined in the conversation. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: "You should not talk with your eyes; keep talking and continue with your work as well." And on this occasion, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) issued the ruling that the women of the emigrants would be entitled to inheritance. Thus, after the death of Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas'ood (may Allah be pleased with him), his wife was declared the heir of a house in Madinah Munawwarah.
