حَدِيثُ أُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Hadith of Umm al-Darda' from the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Hadith 27038
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زَبَّانُ ، عَنْ سَهْلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ,أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أُمَّ الدَّرْدَاءِ , تَقُولُ : خَرَجْتُ مِنَ الْحَمَّامِ فَلَقِيَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " مِنْ أَيْنَ يَا أُمَّ الدَّرْدَاءِ ؟ " , قَالَتْ : مِنَ الْحَمَّامِ ، فَقَالَ : " وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ ، مَا مِنَ امْرَأَةٍ تَضَعُ ثِيَابَهَا فِي غَيْرِ بَيْتِ أَحَدٍ مِنْ أُمَّهَاتِهَا ، إِلَّا وَهِيَ هَاتِكَةٌ كُلَّ سِتْرٍ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ الرَّحْمَنِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Darda (may Allah be pleased with her) that once I was coming out of the bathhouse when I met the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the way. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: O Umm Darda! Where are you coming from? I replied: From the bathhouse. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: By Him in Whose hand is my soul! Any woman who removes her clothes anywhere other than her mother's house tears apart all the veils between herself and the Most Merciful.
Hadith 27039
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ غَيْلَانَ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا رِشْدِينُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي زَبَّانُ ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ,أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أُمَّ الدَّرْدَاءِ , تَقُولُ : خَرَجْتُ مِنَ الْحَمَّامِ ، فَلَقِيَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَذَكَرَهُ.
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 27040
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَلْحَلَةَ الدُّؤَلِيِّ ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِ ، تَرْفَعُ الْحَدِيثَ ، قَالَتْ : " مَنْ رَابَطَ فِي شَيْءٍ مِنْ سَوَاحِلِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ ، أَجْزَأَتْ عَنْهُ رِبَاطَ سَنَةٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Darda (may Allah be pleased with her) that whoever guards the borders of the Muslims for three days, it is counted as equal to guarding for one year.
Hadith 27041
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : وَقَالَ حَيْوَةُ , أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو صَخْرٍ أَنَّ يُحَنَّسَ أَبَا مُوسَى حَدَّثَهُ ، أَنَّ أُمَّ الدَّرْدَاءِ حَدَّثَتْهُ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَقِيَهَا يَوْمًا ، فَقَالَ : " مِنْ أَيْنَ جِئْتِ يَا أُمَّ الدَّرْدَاءِ ؟ " , فَقَالَتْ : مِنَ الْحَمَّامِ ، فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا مِنَ امْرَأَةٍ تَنْزِعُ ثِيَابَهَا ، إِلَّا هَتَكَتْ مَا بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنْ سِتْرٍ " .
