حَدِيثُ جُدَامَةَ بِنْتِ وَهْبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا
Hadith of Judamah bint Wahb (may Allah be pleased with her)
Hadith 27034
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , أَنَّ جُدَامَةَ بِنْتَ وَهْبٍ حَدَّثَتْهَا , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ أَنْهَى عَنِ الْغِيلَةِ ، حَتَّى ذَكَرْتُ أَنَّ فَارِسَ وَالرُّومَ يَصْنَعُونَهُ ، فَلَا يَضُرُّ أَوْلَادَهُمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Judamah bint Wahb (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I was about to prohibit men from approaching their wives during the period of breastfeeding, but then I was informed that the people of Persia and Rome do so, and their children are not harmed by it (therefore, I abandoned this intention)."
Hadith 27035
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، عَنْ جُدَامَةَ بِنْتِ وَهْبٍ الْأَسَدِيَّةِ ، قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ أَنْهَى عَنِ الْغِيلَةِ ، حَتَّى ذَكَرْتُ أَنَّ فَارِسَ وَالرُّومَ يَفْعَلُونَ ذَلِكَ ، فَلَا يَضُرُّ أَوْلَادَهُمْ " .

Hadith 27036
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، عَنْ جُدَامَةَ بِنْتِ وَهْبٍ الْأَسَدِيَّةِ , وَكَانَتْ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرَاتِ الْأُوَلِ ، قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ عَنِ الْعَزْلِ ، فَقَالَ : " هُوَ الْوَأْدُ الْخَفِيُّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Judamah bint Wahb (may Allah be pleased with her), "who was among the first women to migrate," that a person asked the Prophet (peace be upon him) about 'azl (withdrawing the fluid of life outside), so I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say: "This is secretly burying alive."
Hadith 27037
حَدَّثَنَا أبُو عَبدِ الْرَحَمَنِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ ، فَذَكَرَهُ.
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
