It is narrated from Hazrat Maymunah that when the Prophet (peace be upon him) performed ghusl after janabah, he would first wash his hands, then pour water from his right hand onto his left hand and wash his private parts, and rub his hand on the ground to clean it. Then he would perform ablution as for prayer, then pour water over his head and the rest of his body, and after the bath, he would move from that place and wash his feet (because water would collect there).

It is narrated from Hazrat Maymunah that once, in the morning, the Prophet (peace be upon him) felt heaviness in his health, so someone asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what is the matter that you are feeling unwell this morning?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied, "Jibreel (peace be upon him) had promised to meet me, but he did not come, although he has never broken a promise before." For three nights, Jibreel did not come. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) considered a puppy under our bed to be the cause. Accordingly, on the order of the Prophet (peace be upon him), it was removed and water was poured there. Shortly after, Jibreel (peace be upon him) came. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said to him, "You had promised to come to me, but I did not see you?" He replied, "We do not enter a house in which there is a dog or a picture." So the Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered the killing of dogs that very day, to the extent that if someone asked for permission to keep a small dog for the protection of his garden, the Prophet (peace be upon him) would also order it to be killed.

It is narrated from Hazrat Khalid bin Waleed that once he entered the house of Ummul Momineen Hazrat Maymunah bint Harith, who was his maternal aunt, along with the Prophet (peace be upon him). She placed the meat of a lizard (dabb) before the Prophet (peace be upon him), which had been brought from Najd by Umm Hafeed bint Harith, who was married to a man from Banu Ja'far. The blessed habit of the Prophet (peace be upon him) was that he would not partake of anything until he had asked what it was. Accordingly, one of the wives of the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Why do you not tell the Prophet (peace be upon him) what he is eating?" Upon this, they informed him that it was the meat of a lizard. The Prophet (peace be upon him) left it. Hazrat Khalid bin Waleed says, "I asked, 'O Messenger of Allah! Is it forbidden?' The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied, 'No, but it is not the food of my people, so I prefer to be cautious about it.'" So I pulled it towards myself and began to eat it, and during this, the Prophet (peace be upon him) kept watching me.

She began preparations for the journey and went to bid farewell to Hazrat Maymunah and informed her of her intention. She (Maymunah) said: Sit down and eat the food I have prepared, and pray in the Prophet’s Mosque, for I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say that one prayer in the Prophet’s Mosque is better than a thousand prayers in any other mosque except the Ka’bah.
Hadith 26827
Ata bin Yasar says that I asked the noble wife of the Prophet, Hazrat Maymunah, about wiping over leather socks (masah on khuffain), so she told me that once I submitted in the presence of the Messenger of Allah, "O Messenger of Allah, can a person wipe over the leather socks at any time, or will he have to take them off?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied, "Yes."

Once, the nephew of Hazrat Maymunah, Hazrat Ibn Abbas, came to her. She said, "Son, what is the matter that your hair appears disheveled?" He replied that the woman who combs his hair, Umm Ammar, is in her days (of menstruation). Hazrat Maymunah said, "Son, what do the days have to do with the hands? The Prophet (peace be upon him) would come to one of us and she would be in her days, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) would place his head in her lap while she was in her days and recite the Holy Qur'an. Then she would stand up and spread the mat for the Prophet (peace be upon him), and in that state, she would place it at the place where the Prophet (peace be upon him) would pray. Son, what do the days have to do with the hands?"
