حَدِيثُ خَنْسَاءَ بِنْتِ خِذَامٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Hadith of Khansa' bint Khidham from the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Hadith 26786
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ , ح وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي مَالِكٌ ، ح قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ : حَدَّثَنَا مُصْعَبٌ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ , وَمُجَمِّعٍ ابني يزيد ابن جارية ، عَنْ خَنْسَاءَ بِنْتِ خِذَامٍ , أَنَّ أَبَاهَا زَوَّجَهَا وَهِيَ كَارِهَةٌ ، وَكَانَتْ ثَيِّبًا ، " فَرَدَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نِكَاحَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Khansa bint Khidam that her father married her to someone, but she did not like this relationship and she had been previously married. Therefore, the Prophet (peace be upon him) annulled this marriage due to her dislike.
Hadith 26787
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ , وَمُجَمِّعٍ ، شيخين من الأنصار , أن خنساء , أنكحها أبوها ، وكرهت ذلك ، " فرده رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .

Hadith 26788
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ مُجَمِّعِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ أُمِّ مُجَمِّعٍ ، قَالَ زَوَّجَ خِدَامٌ ابْنَتَهُ وَهِيَ كَارِهَةٌ ، فَأَتَتْ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , إِنَّ أَبِي زَوَّجَنِي وَأَنَا كَارِهَةٌ , قَالَ : " فَرَدَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نِكَاحَ أَبِيهَا " .

Hadith 26789
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ , أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ يَزِيدَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ ، وَمُجَمِّعَ بْنَ يَزِيدَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ أَخْبَرَاهُ , أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْهُمْ يُدْعَى خِذَامًا أَنْكَحَ ابْنَةً لَهُ ، فَكَرِهَتْ نِكَاحَ أَبِيهَا ، فَأَتَتْ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَذَكَرَتْ ذَلِكَ لَهُ ، " فَرَدَّ عَنْهَا نِكَاحَ أَبِيهَا " ، فَتَزَوَّجَتْ أَبَا لُبَابَةَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْمُنْذِرِ , فَذَكَرَ يَحْيَى , أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ ثَيِّبًا.
It is narrated from Abdur Rahman bin Yazid and Majma’ that Khansa’s father Khidam married her to someone, but she did not like this match and she had been previously married. Therefore, the Prophet (peace be upon him) annulled this marriage due to her dislike, and Khansa then married Abu Lubabah bin Abd al-Mundhir.
Hadith 26790
قَرَأْتُ عَلَى يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي حَجَّاجُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ بْنِ أَبِي لُبَابَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُنْذِرِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ , أَنَّ جَدَّتَهُ أُمَّ السَّائِبِ خُنَاسَ بِنْتِ خِذَامِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ , كَانَتْ عِنْدَ رَجُلٍ قَبْلَ أَبِي لُبَابَةَ ، تَأَيَّمَتْ مِنْهُ ، فَزَوَّجَهَا أَبُوهَا خِذَامُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ رَجُلًا مِنْ بَنِي عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ ، فَأَبَتْ إِلَّا أَنْ تَحُطَّ إِلَى أَبِي لُبَابَةَ ، وَأَبَى أَبُوهَا إِلَّا أَنْ يُلْزِمَهَا الْعَوْفِيَّ حَتَّى ارْتَفَعَ أَمْرُهَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " هِيَ أَوْلَى بِأَمْرِهَا " , فَأَلْحِقْهَا بِهَوَاهَا , قَالَ : فَانْتُزِعَتْ مِنَ الْعَوْفِيِّ ، وَتَزَوَّجَتْ أَبَا لُبَابَةَ ، فَوَلَدَتْ لَهُ أَبَا السَّائِبِ بْنَ أَبِي لُبَابَةَ.
Hajjaj bin Saib narrates that his grandmother Umm Saib Khannas bint Khidam was first married to another man before Abu Lubabah. When she became a widow from him, her father Khidam bin Khalid married her to a man from Banu Amr bin Awf, but she refused to go to anyone except Abu Lubabah. Her father insisted on marrying her to that man from Banu Amr bin Awf, until the matter was presented before the Prophet (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) decided that Khansa had more right over her own affair, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) removed her from the marriage to that man from Banu Amr bin Awf according to her wish and married her to Abu Lubabah, and from them Saib bin Abu Lubabah was born.
Hadith 26791
قَالَ : قَرَأْتُ عَلَى أَبِي : يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ أَبِي لُبَابَةَ ، قَالَ : كَانَتْ خُنَاسُ بِنْتُ خِذَامٍ عِنْدَ رَجُلٍ ، تَأَيَّمَتْ مِنْهُ ، فَزَوَّجَهَا أَبُوهَا رَجُلًا مِنْ بَنِي عَوْفٍ ، وَحَطَّتْ هِيَ إِلَى أَبِي لُبَابَةَ ، فَأَبَى أَبُوهَا إِلَّا أَنْ يُلْزِمَهَا الْعَوْفِيَّ ، وَأَبَتْ هِيَ ، حَتَّى ارْتَفَعَ شَأْنُهُمَا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " هِيَ أَوْلَى بِأَمْرِهَا " , فَأَلْحِقْهَا بِهَوَاهَا ، فَتَزَوَّجَتْ أَبَا لُبَابَةَ فَوَلَدَتْ لَهُ أَبَا السَّائِبِ.
