It is narrated from Hazrat Hafsa that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to fast on the tenth of Muharram, the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah, and three days every month: Monday and twice on Thursday.

It is narrated from Hazrat Hafsa that once Atarid bin Hajib brought a silk garment which Kisra (the king of Iran) had given him to wear. Hazrat Umar submitted, "O Messenger of Allah, if you bought it (it would be better)." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "This is the clothing worn by those who will have no share in the Hereafter."

It is narrated from Ibn Abi Mulaika that, according to my belief, someone asked one of the noble wives of the Prophet (peace be upon him), namely Hafsa, about the recitation of the Prophet (peace be upon him). She replied, "You do not have the strength to recite as he did." Then she recited the first three verses of Surah Al-Fatiha, breaking them up (pausing at each verse) and demonstrated it.
