Remaining Hadith of Fuwah bin Musayk al-Ghatafi
Hadith 24009/86
حدثنا عبدُ الله بن محمد ، وسمعتُه أَنا منه ، حدثنا أَبو أُسامة ، أَخبرنا مُجالِد ، أَخبرني عامرٌ ، عن فَرْوة بن مُسَيْك المُرادي ، قال : قال لي رسولُ الله صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَّيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَكرِهتَ يومَكم ويومَ هَمْدان ؟ " قال : قلتُ : نعم يا رسول الله ، فَناءُ الأهل والعَشِيرة ، قال : " أَمَا إنه خيرٌ لمَن اتَّقى منكم "
Abdullah ibn Muhammad narrated to us, and I heard it from him myself, Abu Usama narrated to us, Mujalid informed us, he said: 'Amir informed me, from Farwah ibn Musayk al-Muradi, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to me: "Did you dislike your day and the day of Hamdan?" He said: I said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah, the loss of family and tribe." He said: "Indeed, it is better for whoever among you is God-fearing."
Hadith 24009/87
حدثنا حُسَين ، حدثنا شَيْبانُ ، حدثنا الحسنُ بن الحَكَم ، عن عبد الله بن عابسٍ ، عن فَروة بن مُسَيك ، قال : أَتيتُ رسولَ الله صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَّيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فسمعتُ رجلًا ، يقول : يا رسولَ الله ، أَرضٌ سبأٌ أَو امرأَةٌ ؟ قال : " ليسَ بأرضٍ ولا امرأَة ، ولكنَّه رجلٌ وَلَدَ عَشَرةً من العربِ ، تَشاءَمَ منهم أَربعةٌ ، وتَيَمَّنَ سِتةٌ ، فأما الذين تَشاءَمُوا : فعَكٌّ ، ولَخْمٌ ، وغسَّانُ ، وعامِلةُ ، وأمَّا الذين تيمَّنوا : فالأَزدُ ، وكِنْدةُ ، ومَذْحِج ، وحِمْيَر ، والأَشعريُّون ، وأَنمار " قال رجلٌ : يا رسول الله ، وما أَنمار ؟ قال : " الذينَ منهم خَثْعم وبَجِيلةُ "
Husayn narrated to us, Shaiban narrated to us, al-Hasan ibn al-Hakam narrated to us, from Abdullah ibn Abis, from Farwah ibn Musayk, who said: I came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and I heard a man saying: O Messenger of Allah, is Saba’ a land or a woman? He said: "It is neither a land nor a woman, but rather a man who fathered ten of the Arabs. Four of them went to the north and six to the south. As for those who went to the north: ‘Ukk, Lakhm, Ghassan, and ‘Amilah. As for those who went to the south: al-Azd, Kindah, Madhhij, Himyar, the Ash‘arites, and Anmar." A man said: O Messenger of Allah, and who are Anmar? He said: "From them are Khath‘am and Bajilah."
Hadith 24009/88
حدثنا يزيدُ بن هارونَ ، حدثنا أبو جَنَاب يحيي بن أَبي حَيَّة الكَلْبي ، عن يحيي بن هانئ بن عُروة ، عن فَروة بن مُسَيك ، قال : أَتيتُ رسولَ الله صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَّيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فقلتُ : يا رسولَ الله ، أُقاتلُ بمُقبلِ قومي مُدبِرَهم ؟ قال : " نعم ، فقاتِلْ بمُقبِلِ قومِكَ مُدبِرَهم " فلمَّا وَلَّيتُ دعاني ، فقال : " لا تُقاتِلْهم حتى تَدعُوَهم إِلى الإسلام " ، قال : قلتُ : يا رسول الله ، أَرأَيت سبأً ، أَوادٍ هو ؟ أَجبلٌ هو ؟ قال : " لا ، بل هو رجلٌ من العربِ ، وُلِدَ له عَشَرةٌ ، فَتيامَنَ سِتةٌ ، وتَشاءَمَ أَربعةٌ ، تيامن : الأزدُ ، والأشعريُّونَ ، وحِمْيرٌ ، وكِندةُ ، ومَذْحِجٌ ، وأنمارٌ ، الذين يقال منهم : بَجيلةُ وخَثْعَمٌ ، وتشاءَمَ : لَخْمٌ ، وجُذَامٌ ، وعامِلةُ ، وغسَّانُ "
Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, Abu Janab Yahya ibn Abi Hayyah al-Kalbi narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Hani ibn Urwah, from Furwah ibn Musayk, who said: I came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and I said: O Messenger of Allah, shall I fight those of my people who come forward against those who turn back? He said: "Yes, fight those of your people who come forward against those who turn back." When I turned away, he called me and said: "Do not fight them until you call them to Islam." He said: I said: O Messenger of Allah, what do you say about Saba'? Is it a valley? Is it a mountain? He said: "No, rather he is a man from the Arabs, to whom were born ten sons. Six of them went to the Yemen, and four to the north. Those who went to the Yemen are: al-Azd, the Ash'ariyyun, Himyar, Kindah, Madhhij, and Anmar, of whom are said to be Bajilah and Khath'am. And those who went to the north are: Lakhm, Judham, Amilah, and Ghassan."
Hadith 24009/89
حدثنا عبدُ الله ، حدثنا خَلَفُ بن هشام ، حدثنا أَبو أُسامة ، حدثني الحسن بن الحَكَم النَّخَعي ، قال : أَخبرنا أَبو سَبْرة النَّخَعي ، عن فَرْوة بن مُسَيك الغُطَيْفي ، قال : أَتيتُ رسولَ الله صَلَّي اللهَ عَلَّيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فقلتُ : يا رسولَ الله ، أَلا أُقاتِلُ من أَدبَرَ من قومي بمن أقبلَ منهم ؟ قال : " بَلَى " ثم بَدَا لي ، فقلتُ : يا رسولَ الله ، لا بل أَهلُ سَبَأ ، فهم أَعزَّ وأَشدُّ قوةً ، قال : فأَمرني رسولُ الله صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَّيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وأَذِنَ لي في قتالِهم ، فلمَّا خرجتُ من عندِه أَنزلَ الله في سبأٍ ما أَنزلَ ، فقال رسول الله صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَّيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ما فَعلَ الغُطَيفيُّ ؟ " فأَرسلَ إِلى منزلي ، فوَجَدَتُ فرُدِدتُ ، فلمَّا أَتيتُ رسولَ الله صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَّيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وجدتُه قاعدًا ومعه أَصحابُه ، قال : فقال : " بلِ ادْعُ القومَ ، فمَن أَجابَ فاقبَلْ منه ، ومن لم يُجِبْ ، فلا تَعجَلْ عليه ، حتى تُحْدِثَ إِليَّ " ، قال : فقال رجلٌ من القوم : يا رسول الله ، أَخبرْنا عن سَبأٍ أَرضٌ هي أَو امرأةٌ ؟ قال : " ليسَتْ بأَرضٍ ولا امرأةٍ ، ولكنَّه رجلٌ وَلَدَ عَشَرةً من العرب ، فتيامَنَ منهم أَربعةٌ ، فأمَّا الذين تَشاءَمُوا : فلَخْمٌ ، وجُذامٌ ، وغسَّانُ ، وعاملةُ ، وأَما الذين تَيامَنُوا : فالأَزدُ ، وكِنْدةُ ، وحِمْيَرٌ ، والأَشعريُّونَ ، وأنمارٌ ، ومَذْحِجٌ " ، فقال رجل : يا رسولَ الله ، وما أَنمار ؟ قال : " الذين منهم خَثْعَمٌ وبَجِيلةُ " .
Abdullah narrated to us, Khalaf ibn Hisham narrated to us, Abu Usama narrated to us, Al-Hasan ibn Al-Hakam Al-Nakha'i narrated to me, he said: Abu Sabrah Al-Nakha'i informed us, from Farwah ibn Musayk Al-Ghatafi, who said: I came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and I said: O Messenger of Allah, shall I not fight those who turn away from my people with those who come forward from them? He said: "Yes." Then it appeared to me, so I said: O Messenger of Allah, no, rather the people of Saba', for they are more powerful and stronger. He said: So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded me and permitted me to fight them. When I left him, Allah revealed about Saba' what He revealed. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "What did the Ghatafi do?" So he sent to my house, and I was found, so I was brought back. When I came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, I found him sitting with his companions. He said: "Rather, call the people. Whoever responds, accept from him, and whoever does not respond, do not be hasty with him until you inform me." A man from the people said: O Messenger of Allah, inform us about Saba': is it a land or a woman? He said: "It is neither a land nor a woman, but rather a man who begot ten from the Arabs. Four of them went to the south, and as for those who went to the north: Lakhm, Judham, Ghassan, and 'Amilah. As for those who went to the south: Al-Azd, Kindah, Himyar, the Ash'ariyyun, Anmar, and Madhhij." A man said: O Messenger of Allah, and what is Anmar? He said: "From them are Khath'am and Bajilah."
Hadith 24009/90
حدثنا عبدُ الله ، حدثنا عبد الله بن محمدٍ ، حدثنا أَبو أُسامة ، حدثني الحسن بن الحَكَم ، حدثنا أَبو سَبْرة النَّخَعي ، عن فَرْوة بن مُسيك الغُطَيفي ، ثم المُرادِي ، قال : أَتيتُ رسول الله صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَّيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ . . . فذكر معناه
Abdullah narrated to us, Abdullah ibn Muhammad narrated to us, Abu Usamah narrated to us, Al-Hasan ibn Al-Hakam narrated to me, Abu Sabrah Al-Nakha'i narrated to us, from Farwah ibn Musayk Al-Ghatafi, then Al-Muradi, who said: I came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him... and he mentioned its meaning.
Hadith 24009/91
حدثنا يزيدُ ، أخبرنا جَرِيرُ بن حازمٍ ، حدثنا الزُّبَير بن سعيد الهاشميُّ ، عن عبد الله بن عليِّ بن يزيدَ بن رُكانةَ ، عن أبيه ، عن جَدِّه ، أنه طَلَّقَ امرأتَه البَتَّةَ ، فذكر ذلك للنبيِّ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَّيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فقال : " ما أَرَدْتَ بذلك ؟ " قال : واحدةً ، قال : " آللهِ ؟ " ، قال : آلله ، قال : " هو ما أَرَدْتَ " .
Yazid narrated to us, Jarir ibn Hazim informed us, al-Zubayr ibn Sa'id al-Hashimi narrated to us, from Abdullah ibn Ali ibn Yazid ibn Rukanah, from his father, from his grandfather, that he divorced his wife with an irrevocable divorce, and he mentioned that to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and he said: "What did you intend by that?" He said: One (divorce). He said: "By Allah?" He said: By Allah. He said: "It is as you intended."
