Remaining Hadith of al-Jarud al-‘Abdi
Hadith 24009/70
حدثنا يزيدُ بن هارونَ ، أَخبرنا الجُرَيريُّ ، عن أَبي العَلاءِ ، عن أَبي مُسلِم الجَذَميِّ ، عن الجارُودِ ، قال : قلتُ أَو قال رجلٌ : يا رسولَ الله ، اللُّقَطةُ نَجدُها ؟ قال : " انْشُدْها ، ولا تَكتُمْ ، ولا تُغَيِّبْ ، فإِن وَجَدْتَ رَبَّها ، فادْفَعْها إِليه ، وإلا فمالُ الله يُؤْتِيه من يشاءُ "
Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, al-Jurayri informed us, from Abu al-‘Ala’, from Abu Muslim al-Judhami, from al-Jarud, who said: I said, or a man said: O Messenger of Allah, what about a lost item we find? He said: "Announce it, do not conceal it, and do not hide it. If you find its owner, give it to him; otherwise, it is the property of Allah, He gives it to whomever He wills."
Hadith 24009/71
حدثنا محمدُ بن جعفرٍ ، حدثنا شُعْبةُ ، عن قَتادةَ ، عن أَبي مُسلمِ ، عن الجارُودِ بن المُعَلَّى ، أَن رسول الله صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَّيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قال : " ضالَّةُ المُسلمِ حَرَقُ النَّارِ "
Narrated to us by Muhammad ibn Ja'far, narrated to us by Shu'bah, from Qatadah, from Abu Muslim, from Al-Jarud ibn Al-Mu'alla, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The lost property of a Muslim is the burning coals of the Fire."
