Remaining Hadith of Abu Rifa‘ah al-‘Adawi
Hadith 24009/62
حدثنا هاشمُ بن القاسم ، وأَبو عبد الرحمن ، قالا : حدثنا سُلَيمان بن المُغيرةِ ، عن حُميد بن هِلال ، عن أَبي رفاعة العَدَوي ، قال : أَتيتُ النبيَّ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَّيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وهو يخطُبُ ، فقلتُ : رجلٌ غَرِيب جاءَ يسأَلُ عن دِينِه ، لا يَدري ما دينُه ، قال : " فأَقبَلَ النبيُّ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَّيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وتَرَكَ خُطْبتَه ، ثم أُتيَ بكرسيٍّ خُلْبٍ قوائِمُه حديدٌ ، فقَعَدَ عليه رسولُ الله صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَّيْهِ وَسَلَّمِ ، ثم أَقبلَ عليَّ يُعلِّمُني مما علَّمه الله ، ثم أَتى خطبتَه ، فأتَمَّ آخِرَها " ، قال أَبو عبد الرحمن في حديثه : قال حُميد : قال : أُراه رأَى خشبًا أَسودَ حسِبَه حديدًا .
Hashim ibn al-Qasim and Abu Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, they said: Sulaiman ibn al-Mughira narrated to us, from Humayd ibn Hilal, from Abu Rifa'a al-Adawi, who said: I came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, while he was delivering a sermon, and I said: A stranger man has come to ask about his religion, he does not know what his religion is. He said: "So the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, turned towards me and left his sermon, then a chair made of palm fiber with iron legs was brought, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, sat on it, then turned to me and taught me from what Allah had taught him, then he returned to his sermon and completed the last part of it." Abu Abd al-Rahman said in his narration: Humayd said: He said: I think he saw black wood and thought it was iron.
Hadith 24009/63
حدثنا عفَّانُ ، حدثنا سليمانُ ، حدثنا حُميد ، قال : قال أَبو رِفَاعة رجلٌ من بني عَديّ : أَتيتُ رسولَ الله صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَّيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وهو يَخطُبُ . . . فذكر الحديث
Affan narrated to us, Sulayman narrated to us, Humayd narrated to us, he said: Abu Rifaa‘ah, a man from Banu ‘Adiyy, said: I came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, while he was delivering a sermon... then he mentioned the hadith.
