Hadith 24009/59
Waki‘ and ‘Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, they said: Sufyan narrated to us, from Salim Abu al-Nadr, from Busr ibn Sa‘id, that Zayd ibn Khalid sent to Abu Juhaim. ‘Abd al-Rahman said: Zayd ibn Khalid sent me to Abu Juhaim al-Ansari: What have you heard from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, regarding a man who passes in front of another man while he is praying? He said: I heard him say: "If one of you knew what it means to pass in front of a man while he is praying, it would be better for him to stand for forty—I do not know whether it is years, or days, or months—than to pass in front of him."

Narrated to us by ʿAbd al-Razzaq, informed us Malik, from Abu al-Nadr, from Busr ibn Saʿid, who said: Zayd ibn Khalid sent me to Abu Juhaim al-Ansari to ask him: What have you heard from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, regarding one who passes in front of a person praying? He said: I heard him say: "For him to stand in his place is better for him than to pass in front of the one who is praying." I do not know whether he said: forty years, or forty months, or forty days!
Hadith 24009/61
Yaqoob narrated to us, my father narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, he told me from Abdur Rahman ibn Hurmuz al-A'raj, from Umair, the freed slave of Abdullah ibn Abbas—and Umair, the freed slave of Abdullah ibn Abbas, was trustworthy as has reached me—from Abu Juhaim ibn al-Harith ibn al-Simmah al-Ansari, who said:
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, went out for some of his needs toward the well of Jamal, then he returned, and a man from his companions met him and greeted him with salam, but the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, did not return the greeting to him until he placed his hand on the wall, then wiped his face and his hands, then said: "And upon you be peace."
