Hadith of Badil ibn Waraqa al-Khura'i
Hadith 24009/15
حدثنا أبو سعيد مولى بني هاشم ، حدثنا سعيد بن سَلَمةَ ابن أبي الحُسام ، حدثني مولى لآل عمرَ ، حدثنا صالح بن كَيْسانَ ، عن عيسى بن مسعود بن الحَكَم الزُّرَقي ، عن جَدَّتِه حَبَيبةَ بنت شَرِيقٍ ، أنها كانت مع أبيها ، فإذا بُديلُ ابن وَرْقاء على العَضْباءِ راحلةِ رسول الله صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَّيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرْحَلُها ، فنادى : إن رسولَ الله صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَّيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قال : " من كان صائمًا ، فليُفْطْر ، فإنها أيامُ أكلٍ وشُربٍ "
Abu Sa'id, the freedman of Banu Hashim, narrated to us; Sa'id ibn Salamah ibn Abi Husam narrated to us; a freedman of the family of Umar narrated to me; Salih ibn Kaysan narrated to us; from Isa ibn Mas'ud ibn al-Hakam al-Zuraqi; from his grandmother Habaybah bint Shariq, that she was with her father, when Budayl ibn Warqa was on al-Adhba', the riding camel of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, saddling it. Then he called out: Indeed, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever is fasting, let him break his fast, for these are days of eating and drinking."
