Hadith of Jablah ibn Harithah al-Kalbi
Hadith 24009/3
حدّثنا أسودُ ، حدثنا شَريكُ ، عن أبي إسحاق ، عن جَبَلة ، أَنّ رسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَّْيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كان " إِذا لم يَغْزُ ، أَعطى سلاحَه عليًّا أَو أُسامة "
Narrated to us by Aswad, narrated to us by Sharik, from Abu Ishaq, from Jablah, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, when he did not go out for battle, would give his weapon to Ali or Usama.
