حَدِيثُ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of al-Walid ibn al-Walid (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 23839
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي أَجِدُ وَحْشَةً ، قَالَ : " فَإِذَا أَخَذْتَ مَضْجَعَكَ ، فَقُلْ : أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ غَضَبِهِ وَعِقَابِهِ وَشَرِّ عِبَادِهِ ، وَمِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِينِ وَأَنْ يَحْضُرُونِ ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَضُرُّكَ ، وَبِالْحَرِيِّ أَنْ لَا يَقْرَبَكَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Waleed bin Waleed (may Allah be pleased with him) that once he submitted in the court of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah! Sometimes I feel an unknown fear." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "When you lie down on your bed, recite these words: 'A'udhu bikalimaatillahi-t-taammaati min ghadabihi wa 'iqaabihi wa sharri 'ibaadihi wa min hamazaatish-shayaateeni wa an yahduroon.' Nothing will be able to harm you, rather, nothing will even come near you."
