حَدِيثُ يُوسُفَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ
Hadith of Yusuf ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Salam (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 23835
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا بُكَيْرُ بْنُ الْأَشَجِّ ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : سُئِلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَنَحْنُ بِخَيْرٍ أَمْ مَنْ بَعْدَنَا ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَوْ أَنْفَقَ أَحَدُهُمْ أُحُدًا ذَهَبًا ، مَا بَلَغَ مُدَّ أَحَدِكُمْ وَلَا نَصِيفَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Yusuf (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "Are we better or those who will come after us?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "If any person from those who come after were to spend gold equal to Mount Uhud, it would not reach even the equivalent of one mudd or half of it from you."
Hadith 23836
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كُنَاسَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ الْعَطَّارُ ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ ، قَالَ : " سَمَّانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُوسُفَ ، وَأَجْلَسَنِي فِي حَجْرِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Yusuf bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that my name "Yusuf" was given by the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) placed his blessed hand on my head.
Hadith 23837
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ الْعَطَّارُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ يُوسُفَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ ، يَقُولُ : " سَمَّانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى رَأْسِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Yusuf bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that my name "Yusuf" was given by the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) placed his blessed hand on my head.
Hadith 23838
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ ، عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ يُوسُفَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ ، يَقُولُ : " سَمَّانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُوسُفَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Yusuf bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that my name "Yusuf" was given by the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
