حَدِيثُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ
Hadith of Muhammad ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Salam (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 23833
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مِغْوَلٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سَيَّارًا أَبَا الْحَكَمِ غَيْرَ مَرَّةٍ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْنَا يَعْنِي قُبَاءً ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَدْ أَثْنَى عَلَيْكُمْ فِي الطُّهُورِ خَيْرًا ؟ أَفَلَا تُخْبِرُونِي ، قَالَ : يَعْنِي قَوْلَهُ : فِيهِ رِجَالٌ يُحِبُّونَ أَنْ يَتَطَهَّرُوا وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُطَّهِّرِينَ سورة التوبة آية 108 قَالَ : فَقَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّا نَجِدُهُ مَكْتُوبًا عَلَيْنَا فِي التَّوْرَاةِ الِاسْتِنْجَاءُ بِالْمَاءِ . حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، حدثنا سَلَّامِ بْنِ مِسْكِينٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَهْرُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ وَذَكَرَ حَدِيثَ الْجَارِ .
It is narrated from Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us in Quba, he said: "Allah Almighty has praised you people regarding purity. Will you not tell me about it?" In fact, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was referring to this verse: "In it are men who love to purify themselves." The people said, "O Messenger of Allah! We found written in the Torah the command to cleanse ourselves with water, and we act upon it."
Hadith 23834
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ حدثنا سَلَّامِ بْنِ مِسْكِينٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَهْرُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ وَذَكَرَ حَدِيثَ الْجَارِ
Yazid narrated to us, Sallam ibn Miskin narrated to us, Shahr ibn Hawshab narrated from Muhammad ibn Yusuf ibn Abdullah ibn Salam, and he mentioned the hadith of the neighbor.
