It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Tufail (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was returning from the Battle of Tabuk, he ordered the announcer on the way, and he made this announcement that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has taken the path of the mountain pass, no one should go on this path. Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) was in front of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and Hazrat Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) was behind him, when suddenly a group of people with their faces covered appeared on mounts, who surrounded Hazrat Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him). Hazrat Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) was behind, he began to strike at the faces of those mounts. When the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sensed danger, he told Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) to stop the mount and got down. Then the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began to descend from that mountain pass. Meanwhile, Hazrat Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) also returned. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him, "Ammar! Were you able to recognize those people?" He replied, "I recognized most of the mounts, but the people had covered their faces." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Do you know their intention?" He replied, "Allah and His Messenger know best." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Their intention was to take the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and push him down from above." Then Hazrat Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) spoke harshly to a companion of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "I ask you by Allah, do you know how many men were in that mountain pass?" He said, "Fourteen." He said, "If you were also among them, they would have been fifteen, out of whom the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) declared three as excused, who said, 'By Allah! We did not hear the voice of the Holy Prophet's announcer, and we did not know what those people intended.'" Hazrat Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I bear witness that the twelve men who remain are those who fight against Allah and His Messenger in both this worldly life and on the Day when witnesses will rise." Waleed says that Hazrat Abu Tufail (may Allah be pleased with him) also narrated regarding this same expedition that when the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) learned of the shortage of water, he told the people, and the announcer made this announcement that no one should go to the water before the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), but when the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived there, he found some people already present who had reached there before him. On that day, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed and reproached them.

Abdullah bin Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) says that once I entered the house of Hazrat Abu Tufail (may Allah be pleased with him) and found him in a pleasant mood. I thought to take advantage of this opportunity, so I asked him, "O Abu Tufail! Who were those people whom the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed and reproached?" He was about to tell me about them when his wife Saudah said, "O Abu Tufail! Stop. Do you not know that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'O Allah! I am also a human being, so if I have ever invoked a curse upon any Muslim, then make it a means of purification and mercy for that person.'"

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Tufail (may Allah be pleased with him) (mentioning the construction of the Ka'bah during the time of ignorance) that when the construction of the House of Allah began (the Quraysh first completely demolished it and started rebuilding it with stones from the valley), people were carrying stones, among whom was also the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). (The Quraysh had kept it twenty cubits long.) The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was wearing a woolen sheet, but during the carrying of stones, it became difficult to manage it, so the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) placed that sheet on his shoulder. At that moment, someone called out, "Cover your private part," so the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) threw down the stone and wrapped himself in his sheet. Peace and blessings be upon him.
Hadith 23795
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Tufail (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There will be no prophethood after me, but there will be "Mubashshirat." Someone asked, O Messenger of Allah! What is meant by "Mubashshirat"? The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Good dreams.

Someone asked Hazrat Abu Tufail (may Allah be pleased with him), "Have you seen the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)?" He replied, "Yes!" The questioner asked, "Did you also speak with him?" He replied, "No, but I saw him while he was going to such-and-such a place. At that time, Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) and other companions (may Allah be pleased with them) were with him. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) reached a spacious house and had the door opened. When the door was opened, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) entered inside. I also went inside with him. There was a sheet in the middle of the house. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said, 'Lift this sheet.' The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) lifted the sheet, and from underneath it, a one-eyed boy came out. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said, 'O boy! Stand up.' The boy stood up. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him, 'O boy! Do you testify that I am the Messenger of Allah?' The boy said, 'Do you testify that I am the Messenger of Allah?' This question and answer happened twice. Then the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said twice, 'Seek refuge with Allah from his evil.'"

After a little while, Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) came and drew one or two buckets, in which there was some weakness—may Allah forgive him. Then Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came, and the bucket became strong in his hand, and he filled the reservoir and gave water to those who came. I have not seen any strong man draw water better than Umar. And I interpreted this dream as follows: the black goats refer to the Arabs, and the white goats refer to the non-Arabs.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Tufail (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man passed by some people and greeted them with salam. The people replied to his salam. When that man moved ahead, one of those people said, "By Allah! I bear enmity towards him for the sake of Allah." The people of the gathering said to him, "You have said a very bad thing. By Allah! We will surely inform him of this." Then they said to a man, "O so-and-so! Stand up and go tell him this." So the messenger caught up with him and informed him of this. That man turned back and presented himself before the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! I passed by a gathering of Muslims and greeted them with salam. Among them was so-and-so. All of them replied to my salam. When I moved ahead, one of them came to me and told me that so-and-so says, 'I bear enmity towards him for the sake of Allah.' Please call him and ask on what basis he bears enmity towards me?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called him and inquired about this matter. He admitted and said, "O Messenger of Allah! I did say this." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Why do you bear enmity towards him?" He said, "I am his neighbor and I am aware of his circumstances. By Allah! I have never seen him perform any prayer except the obligatory prayer, which both the righteous and the wicked perform." That person said, "O Messenger of Allah! Ask him, has he ever seen me delaying the prayer from its time? Has he seen me performing ablution incorrectly? Or has he ever seen me making a mistake in bowing or prostration?" Upon the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asking, he said, "No." Then he said, "I have never seen him fasting except in that month in which both the righteous and the wicked fast." He said, "O Messenger of Allah! Ask him, has he ever seen me missing a fast on any day of that month? Or have I ever fallen short in his right?" When the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, he said, "No." Then he said, "By Allah! I have never seen him giving anything to a beggar, nor have I seen him spending anything in the way of Allah from his wealth except that zakat which both the righteous and the wicked pay." He said, "O Messenger of Allah! Ask him, have I ever concealed zakat wealth? Or have I given less to the one who asked for it?" Upon the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asking, he said, "No." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the objector, "Get up, I do not know, perhaps he is better than you."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Tufail (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the Prophetic era, a child was born to a man. That person brought his child to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed his hand over the child's forehead and prayed for blessings for him. Consequently, a hair grew on the child's forehead like a bow. That boy grew up, and when the time of the Khawarij came, he began to have affection for the Khawarij. As a result of this misfortune, the hair on his forehead fell out. His father caught him and shackled his feet so that he would not join the Khawarij. One day, we went to him and advised him, and among many things, we also said to him, "Do you not see that the blessing of the Noble Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) prayer has vanished from your forehead?" We kept advising him until he abandoned their opinion, and after some time, Allah caused that hair to grow again on his forehead, and he repented.
Hadith 23806
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Tufail (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ramal (brisk walking) from the Black Stone to the Black Stone in three circuits.
