حَدِيثُ قَيْسِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of Qays ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 23760
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيُّ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : رَأَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلًا يُصَلِّي بَعْدَ صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَصَلَاةُ الصُّبْحِ مَرَّتَيْنِ ؟ ! فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ : إِنِّي لَمْ أَكُنْ صَلَّيْتُ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ اللَّتَيْنِ قَبْلَهُمَا ، فَصَلَّيْتُهُمَا الْآنَ ، قَالَ : فَسَكَتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Qais bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a man performing two rak'ahs after the Fajr prayer. He said, "Is the Fajr prayer performed twice?" The man replied, "I was not able to perform the two Sunnah rak'ahs before Fajr, so I have performed them now." Upon this, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) remained silent.
Hadith 23761
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : وَسَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ رَبِّهِ بْنَ سَعِيدٍ أَخَا يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، قَالَ : خَرَجَ إِلَى الصُّبْحِ ، فَوَجَدَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الصُّبْحِ ، وَلَمْ يَكُنْ رَكَعَ رَكْعَتَيْ الْفَجْرِ ، فَصَلَّى مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، ثُمَّ قَامَ حِينَ فَرَغَ مِنَ الصُّبْحِ فَرَكَعَ رَكْعَتَيْ الْفَجْرِ ، فَمَرَّ بِهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " مَا هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةُ ؟ " فَأَخْبَرَهُ ، فَسَكَتَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَضَى وَلَمْ يَقُلْ شَيْئًا .
