حَدِيثُ مُعَيْقِيبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of Mu'iqeeb (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 23609
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا الدَّسْتُوَائِيُّ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمْةَ ، عَنْ مُعَيْقِيبٍ ، قَالَ : ذَكَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَسْحَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ يَعْنِي : الْحَصَى ، فَقَالَ : " إِنْ كُنْتَ لَا بُدَّ فَاعِلًا فَوَاحِدَةً " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Mu'ayqib (may Allah be pleased with him) that a person asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about leveling pebbles in prostration. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If there is no other way and it is absolutely necessary to do so, then do it only once.
Hadith 23610
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَيْقِيبٌ ، قَالَ : قِيلَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : الْمَسْحُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ يَعْنِي : الْحَصَى ، فَقَالَ : " إِنْ كُنْتَ لَا بُدَّ فَاعِلًا فَوَاحِدَةً " .

Hadith 23611
حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ عُتْبَةَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مُعَيْقِيبٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَيْلٌ لِلْأَعْقَابِ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Mu'ayqib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Woe to the heels from the fire of Hell."
Hadith 23612
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَيْقِيبٌ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِي الرَّجُلِ يُسَوِّي التُّرَابَ حَيْثُ يَسْجُدُ ، قَالَ : " إِنْ كُنْتَ فَاعِلًا فَوَاحِدَةً " .
