11 hadith
Hadith 23598
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Humaid Sa’idi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) appointed a man from the tribe of Azd, whose name was Ibn Lutbiyyah, to collect some charity. When he brought back the collected charity, he said, “This is for you, and this was given to me as a gift.” Upon hearing this, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ascended the pulpit and said, “What is the matter with these officials? We send them, and they return saying, ‘This is for you, and this was given to me as a gift.’ Why doesn’t he sit in his parents’ house and see whether he receives any gifts or not? By the One in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), whoever among you brings anything, he will come on the Day of Resurrection with that thing on his neck: if it is a camel, it will be grunting; if it is a cow, it will be mooing; if it is a goat, it will be bleating.” Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raised both his hands until we saw the whiteness of his blessed armpits, and he said three times, “O Allah! Have I conveyed (the message)?”

It was heard from Hazrat Abu Humaid Sa’idi (may Allah be pleased with him) in the presence of ten companions (may Allah be pleased with them), among whom was Hazrat Abu Qatadah bin Rabi’i (may Allah be pleased with him), that he said: “I know the prayer of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) better than all of you.” The other companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said to him: “You do not have older companionship than us, nor did you stay with him more than us.” He replied: “When the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) would stand for prayer, he would stand straight and raise his hands up to his shoulders. When he intended to bow (ruku’), he would raise his hands up to his shoulders and perform takbeer, then bow with moderation, neither lowering his head too much nor raising it too high, and he would place his hands on his knees. Then he would say ‘Sami’ Allahu liman hamidah’ and raise his head, standing straight until every bone returned to its place. Then, saying ‘Allahu Akbar’, he would go into prostration (sajdah), keeping his arms apart and open, not letting them touch his sides, and spreading the toes of his feet. Then he would bend his left foot and sit on it, sitting with moderation so that every bone returned to its place. Then, saying ‘Allahu Akbar’, he would perform the second prostration, then bend his feet and sit, sitting with moderation so that every bone returned to its place. Then he would stand up and perform the second rak’ah in the same manner. When the last rak’ah came, in which the prayer ends, he would move his left foot back and sit on his side on his buttocks, and at the end, he would turn for salam (salutation).

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Humaid Sa’idi (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the method of sending blessings (salat) upon him. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Say like this: O Allah, send Your mercy upon Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), his family—that is, his pure wives and children—just as You sent mercy upon the family of Ibrahim. Surely, You are Praiseworthy, Most Glorious. And send Your blessings upon Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), his family—that is, his pure wives and children—just as You sent blessings upon the family of Ibrahim. Surely, You are Praiseworthy, Most Glorious.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Humaid Sa’idi (may Allah be pleased with him) that we set out with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for the expedition of Tabuk. When we reached Wadi al-Qura, there was a woman seen in her orchard. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to his companions (may Allah be pleased with them), “Pick the fruit of this orchard.” The people began picking the fruit, and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also picked fruit, which amounted to ten wasqs. Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the woman, “Count the fruit that has been picked until I return to you.” Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) set out until he reached Tabuk. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Tonight a strong wind will blow, so none of you should remain standing, and whoever has a camel should tie its rope.” So we tied the ropes of our camels, and when night came, indeed a strong wind blew, and a man who remained standing was lifted by the wind and thrown onto Mount Tay. Then the king of Aylah came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and presented a white mule as a gift to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) clothed him with a valuable cloak. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked the woman, “How much fruit was produced in your orchard?” She replied, “Ten wasqs, which the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had picked.” The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Now I am departing soon. Whoever among you wishes to leave quickly may do so.” Saying this, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) departed, and we also set out. When the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) approached Madinah Munawwarah, he said, “This is Taba.” When he saw Mount Uhud, he said, “This is Mount Uhud, which loves us and we love it.” “Shall I not tell you about the best families among the Ansar?” We said, “Why not, O Messenger of Allah!” The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “The best families among the Ansar are the Banu Najjar, then the family of Banu Abd al-Ashhal, then the family of Banu Sa’ida, and there is goodness in every family of the Ansar.”

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Humaid (may Allah be pleased with him) and Abu Usaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you enters the mosque, he should say, "Allahumma iftah li abwaba rahmatik" and when he leaves, he should say, "Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik."

Hadith 23608
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Humaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that he brought a bowl of milk from the place Naqi’ to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), which was not covered. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Why did you not cover it, even if only with a piece of wood? Hazrat Abu Humaid (may Allah be pleased with him) further states that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) has instructed to tie the mouths of water skins and to keep the doors closed at night.
