Hadith of Yahya ibn Husayn from his mother (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 23234
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ ، عَنْ أَبي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بنِ الْحُصَيْنِ ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ ، قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُب فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ يَقُولُ : " يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ، اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَاسْمَعُوا وَأَطِيعُوا وَإِنْ أُمِّرَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَبدٌ حَبشِيٌّ مُجَدَّعٌ ، مَا أَقَامَ فِيكُمْ كِتَاب اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " .
Yahya bin Husain (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his grandmother that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: If even a slave is appointed as your leader who leads you according to the Book of Allah, then listen to him and obey him.
