It is narrated from Hazrat Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Asim bin Adi (may Allah be pleased with him): Take this woman with you so that she may give birth to her child at your place. If her child is of a reddish complexion, then his father will be the one who denied his lineage from him, that is, 'Uwaymir. And if a child is born with curly hair and a black tongue, then he will be the son of Sahma. Asim says: When the child was born to her, I picked him up; his head was like the skin of a young goat. Then I took hold of his mouth, and it was red like a berry, and his tongue was black like a date. Seeing this, I spontaneously said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has spoken the truth.
Hadith 22838

It is narrated from Hazrat Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) that there was some discord among some Ansari people, for the reconciliation of whom the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went. When the time for prayer came, Hazrat Bilal came to Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) and said, "O Abu Bakr! The time for prayer has come, but the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is not present here. Should I give the call to prayer and the iqamah, and will you step forward to lead the prayer?" Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "As you wish." So Hazrat Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) gave the adhan and the iqamah, and Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) stepped forward and began the prayer. In the meantime, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived. People started clapping, and sensing this, Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) began to step back. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gestured to him to remain in his place, but Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) moved back, and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stepped forward and led the prayer. After finishing the prayer, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "O Abu Bakr! What prevented you from staying in your place?" He replied, "How could the son of Abu Quhafa dare to step ahead of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?" Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the people, "Why did you clap?" They replied, "So that we could inform Abu Bakr." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Clapping is for women, and saying 'Subhan Allah' is for men."

(If you have no need of her) then marry her to me.” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not reply to him, until the woman stood up three times. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked that man, “Do you have anything to give her as mahr (dowry)?” He said, “I have nothing.” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Go and look for something.” He said, “I have nothing.” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Go, even if you find an iron ring, bring that.” He said, “I could not even find an iron ring.” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him, “Do you know anything of the Qur’an?” He said, “Yes! It is narrated from Hazrat Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) that Hazrat Uwaymir (may Allah be pleased with him) once came to Asim bin Adi (may Allah be pleased with him) and said, "Ask the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about this issue: if a man finds another man with his wife and kills him, will he also be killed in retaliation, or what will be done with him?" Asim (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about this issue, but the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not like this question. Later, Uwaymir (may Allah be pleased with him) met Asim (may Allah be pleased with him) and asked, "What happened?" Asim (may Allah be pleased with him) replied, "What could have happened? You did not tell me a good thing. I asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), but he did not like this question." Uwaymir (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "By Allah! I will go myself to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and will ask him this question." So he presented himself in the court of Prophethood, and by that time, revelation had already come to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding this matter. Therefore, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called both husband and wife and had them perform li'an (mutual cursing). Then Uwaymir (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "O Messenger of Allah! If I take her back with me, it would mean that I have wronged her." So, even before the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded, he separated from his wife (divorced her), and this practice became established among those who perform li'an.

Hadith 22864
It is narrated from Hazrat Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) would turn to the right and left while saying salam in prayer, he would turn his face so much that the whiteness of his blessed cheek would become visible.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Usaid (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by us along with his noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them). I also joined them until, while walking, we reached a garden called "Saut." There we sat down. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) seated his companions (may Allah be pleased with them) to one side and entered a house, where a woman from the tribe of Jawn was brought to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) secluded himself with her in the house of Ummaymah bint Nu'man (may Allah be pleased with her). The woman also had a riding animal with her. When the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) approached the woman, he said to her, "Offer yourself to me (in marriage)." At this, (God forbid) she said, "Can a queen hand herself over to a common man? I seek refuge with Allah from you." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "You have sought refuge with One who is sought for refuge." Saying this, he (peace and blessings be upon him) came out and said, "O Abu Usaid! Give her two garments and send her to her family." Some narrators have mentioned the woman's name as Amina.

Someone asked Hazrat Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him): "What kind of wood was the pulpit of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) made from?" He replied: "By Allah! I know best what kind of wood it was made from, who made it, on which day it was made, on which day it was brought and placed in the Prophet’s Mosque, and I also witnessed the day when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) first graced it. The details of all these matters are as follows: Once, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a message to a woman who had a slave carpenter, saying: 'Tell your carpenter slave to make some wooden planks for me so that I may sit on them while delivering sermons.' The woman ordered her slave accordingly, so he went to 'Ghaba', cut wood from a tree, and made a pulpit consisting of three steps. The woman sent that pulpit to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had it placed exactly where you see it today, and on that very day, he sat on it for the first time and proclaimed the takbeer. Then he descended backwards and prostrated. The people also prostrated along with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) until it was completed. He then said: 'O people! I did this so that you may follow me and learn my way of performing prayer.' Someone asked Hazrat Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him): 'Is the story about the trunk that is famous among the people true?' He replied: 'The incident that occurred did indeed take place.'"
Hadith 22872
It is narrated from Hazrat Sahl bin Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Guarding for one day in the way of Allah is better than the world and whatever is in it. Going out for one morning or one evening in the way of Allah is better than the world and whatever is in it. And the place of a whip in Paradise for any person is better than the world and whatever is in it.
Hadith 22873
It is narrated from Hazrat Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: I will wait for you at the Pond of Kawthar. Whoever comes there will drink its water, and whoever drinks its water will never feel thirsty again. And some people will come to me whom I will recognize and they will recognize me, but then a barrier will be set up between them and me. Abu Hazim says that when Hazrat Nu'man bin Abi Ayyash heard me narrating this hadith, he said: Did you hear Hazrat Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) saying it like this? I replied: Yes! He said: I bear witness regarding Hazrat Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard him narrate this addition: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) will say: These are my followers. It will be said: You do not know what deeds they performed after you. I will say: Away with those people who changed my religion after me.
