حَدِيثُ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Hadith of some of the companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Hadith 22333
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عِمْرَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَكَانَ عَامِلًا عَلَى تَوَّجَ ، وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ خَيْرًا ، عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَنْ نَامَ عَلَى إِجَّارٍ لَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ مَا يَدْفَعُ قَدَمَيْهِ فَخَرَّ ، فَقَدْ بَرِئَتْ مِنْهُ الذِّمَّةُ ، وَمَنْ رَكِبَ الْبَحْرَ إِذَا ارْتَجَّ ، فَقَدْ بَرِئَتْ مِنْهُ الذِّمَّةُ " .
It is narrated from a Companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever sleeps on the roof of a house that has no parapet, and he falls from it and dies, then no one is responsible for him. And whoever sets out on a sea journey at a time when the sea is turbulent and dies, then no one is responsible for him either.
