حَدِيثُ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Hadith of the wives of the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Hadith 22330
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى الْبَكَّاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ أَصُوغُ لِأَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَحَدَّثْنَنِي , أَنَّهُنَّ لَسَمِعْنَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " الذَّهَبُ بِالذَّهَبِ ، وَالْفِضَّةُ بِالْفِضَّةِ ، وَزْنًا بِوَزْنٍ ، فَمَنْ زَادَ أَوْ اسْتَزَادَ فَقَدْ أَرْبَى " .
Abu Rafi’ (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I was the goldsmith of the noble wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). They narrated to me that they heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: “Gold for gold and silver for silver should be sold equal in weight. Whoever adds or asks for an addition has engaged in usury.”
