حَدِيثُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ أُمِّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ
Hadith of Sulayman ibn Amr ibn al-Ahwas from his mother (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 22327
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ أَنَّهَا شَهِدَتْ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِنْدَ جَمْرَةِ الْعَقَبَةِ ، وَالنَّاسُ يَرْمُونَ ، فَقَالَ : " يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ، لَا تَقْتُلُوا ، أَوْ لَا تُهْلِكُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ ، وَارْمُوا الْجَمْرَةَ أَوْ الْجَمَرَاتِ بِمِثْلِ حَصَى الْخَذْفِ " , وَأَشَارَ شُعْبَةُ بِطَرَفِ إِصْبَعِهِ السَّبَّابَةِ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Sulayman (may Allah be pleased with her) that on the day of 10th Dhul-Hijjah, I saw the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) throwing pebbles at Jamrah Aqabah from the bottom of the valley. People were also performing the stoning at that time. At that moment, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O people! Do not kill one another, do not harm one another, and when you perform the stoning of the Jamarat, use pebbles of clay shards for it.
