حَدِيثُ مَالِكِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْخَثْعَمِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ
Hadith of Malik ibn 'Abd Allah al-Khath'ami (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 21961
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ وَهُوَ أَبُو إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمُعَقِّبُ , حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْفَزَارِيَّ , حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ الْأَسَدِيُّ , عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بِشْرٍ الْخُزَاعِيِّ , عَنْ خَالِهِ مَالِكِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , قَالَ : " غَزَوْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمْ أُصَلِّ خَلْفَ إِمَامٍ كَانَ أَوْجَزَ مِنْهُ صَلَاةً فِي تَمَامِ الرُّكُوعِ , وَالسُّجُودِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Malik bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I participated in jihad with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I have not performed prayer behind any imam lighter yet complete in bowing and prostration than the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Hadith 21962
حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ , حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جَابِرٍ , أَنَّ أَبَا الْمُصَبِّحِ الْأَوْزَاعِيَّ حَدَّثَهُمْ , قَالَ : بَيْنَا نَسِيرُ فِي دَرْبِ قَلَمْيَةَ , إِذْ نَادَى الْأَمِيرَ مَالِكَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْخَثْعَمِيَّ رَجُلٌ يَقُودُ فَرَسَهُ فِي عِرَاضِ الْجَبَلِ : يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , أَلَا تَرْكَبُ ؟ قَالَ : إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَنْ اغْبَرَّتْ قَدَمَاهُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ سَاعَةً مِنْ نَهَارٍ , فَهُمَا حَرَامٌ عَلَى النَّارِ " .
Abu Musabbih Al-Awza'i (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once we were walking in a place called "Darb Qalamiyah" when our leader, Hazrat Malik bin Abdullah Khath'ami (may Allah be pleased with him), was called by a man who was driving his horse along the width of the mountain, "O Abu Abdullah! Why don't you ride?" He replied, "I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'The feet of a person that become dusty for even a moment in the path of Allah, both of them become forbidden for the fire of Hell.'"
Hadith 21963
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ , حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الشُّعَيْثِيُّ , عَنْ لَيْثِ بْنِ الْمُتَوَكِّلِ , عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْخَثْعَمِيِّ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ اغْبَرَّتْ قَدَمَاهُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ , حَرَّمَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَى النَّارِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Malik bin Abdullah Khath'ami (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whosever feet become dusty in the path of Allah even for a moment during the day, Allah makes the fire of Hell forbidden upon him."
Hadith 21964
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ , حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ , حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ الْخُزَاعِيُّ , عَنْ خَالِهِ مَالِكِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , قَالَ : " غَزَوْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَمَا صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ إِمَامٍ يَؤُمُّ النَّاسَ أَخَفَّ صَلَاةً مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
