Hadith 21674

Hadith 21675
It is narrated from Hazrat Zaid bin Khalid (may Allah be pleased with him) that in Khaybar, a Muslim from the Ashja‘ tribe passed away. The people mentioned him to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "You yourselves offer the funeral prayer of your companion." Hearing this, the color drained from the faces of the people (because the refusal of the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in this manner was not a good sign for that person). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), perceiving the state of the people, said, "Your companion, even after setting out in the way of Allah, committed dishonesty (regarding the spoils of war). We searched his belongings and found a rope among them, the value of which was only equal to two dirhams."
