Hadith 21098
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) with reference to Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), tonight I have done something." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "What is that?" He said, "The women who were with me at home said, 'You know how to recite the Qur'an, we do not, so you lead us in prayer.' So I led them in eight rak'ahs and witr." Upon this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) remained silent, and we understood that the silence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was an indication of his approval of the mentioned incident.
