حَدِيثُ الْمُهَاجِرِ بْنِ قُنْفُذٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of Al-Muhajir ibn Qunfudh (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 20760
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ حُضَيْنٍ أَبِي سَاسَانَ الرَّقَاشِيِّ ، عَنِ الْمُهَاجِرِ بْنِ قُنْفُذِ بْنِ عُمَيْرِ بْنِ جُدْعَانَ ، قَالَ : سَلَّمْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَتَوَضَّأُ ، فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيَّ ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ مِنْ وُضُوئِهِ ، قَالَ : " لَمْ يَمْنَعْنِي أَنْ أَرُدَّ عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا أَنِّي كُنْتُ عَلَى غَيْرِ وُضُوءٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Muhajir bin Qunfudh (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I greeted the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was performing ablution at that time, so he did not reply. When he had completed the ablution, he replied to my greeting and said: "Nothing prevented me from replying to you except that I did not consider it appropriate to mention the name of Allah while not in a state of purity."
Hadith 20761
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ حُضَيْنٍ أَبِي سَاسَانَ ، عَنِ الْمُهَاجِرِ بْنِ قُنْفُذٍ قَالَ عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ ابْنُ عُمَيْرِ بْنِ جُدْعَانَ أَنَّهُ سَلَّمَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَتَوَضَّأُ ، فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيْهِ ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ مِنْ وُضُوئِهِ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَمْنَعْنِي أَنْ أَرُدَّ عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا أَنِّي كَرِهْتُ أَنْ أَذْكُرَ اللَّهَ إِلَّا عَلَى طَهَارَةٍ " .

Hadith 20762
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنِ الْمُهَاجِرِ بْنِ قُنْفُذٍ " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَبُولُ أَوْ قَدْ بَالَ فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ ، فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيَّ حَتَّى تَوَضَّأَ ، ثُمَّ رَدَّ عَلَيَّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Muhajir bin Qunfudh (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was urinating or had just finished urinating. I greeted him with salam, but he did not reply until he had performed ablution, and then he replied to me.
