حَدِيثُ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَادِيَةِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ
Hadith of a man from the people of the desert (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 20741
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَوَادَةَ الْقُشَيْرِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَادِيَةِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، وَكَانَ أَبُوهُ أَسِيرًا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدًا صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " لَا تُقْبَلُ صَلَاةٌ لَا يُقْرَأُ فِيهَا بِأُمِّ الْكِتَابِ " .
A Bedouin man says that his father was a captive with the Prophet (peace be upon him). He says: I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say that the prayer is not accepted in which Surah Al-Fatihah is not recited.
