حَدِيثُ أُسَامَةَ الْهُذَلِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of Usamah al-Hudhali (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 20700
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ كَانَ مَطِيرًا ، قَالَ : فَأَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُنَادِيَهُ " أَنَّ الصَّلَاةَ فِي الرِّحَالِ " . .
It is narrated from Hazrat Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of rain during the Battle of Hunayn, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) told the people to pray in their tents.
Hadith 20701
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مِثْلَهُ سَوَاءً.
Narrated to us Affan, narrated to us Hammam, from Qatadah, from Al-Hasan, from Samurah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, the same, exactly.
Hadith 20702
حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ قَتَادَةُ أَخْبَرَنَا ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ ، فَأَصَابَهُمْ مَطَرٌ ، فَنَادَى مُنَادِيَهُ " أَنْ صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of rain during the Battle of Hunayn, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) told the people to pray in their tents.
Hadith 20703
حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمَلِيحِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ فِي يَوْمٍ مَطِيرٍ " الصَّلَاةُ فِي الرِّحَالِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of rain during the Battle of Hunayn, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) told the people to pray in their tents.
Hadith 20704
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ ، قَالَ : صَلَّيْتُ الْعِشَاءَ الْآخِرَةَ بِالْبَصْرَةِ ، وَمُطِرْنَا ، ثُمَّ جِئْتُ أَسْتَفْتِحُ ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ لِي أَبُي أُسَامَةَ : رَأَيْتُنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ زَمَنَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ مُطِرْنَا ، فَلَمْ تَبُلَّ السَّمَاءُ أَسَافِلَ نِعَالِنَا ، فَنَادَى مُنَادِي النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَنْ صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ " .
Abu al-Malih says that once I performed the Isha prayer in Basra, then it started to rain. I came home and knocked on the door, so Hazrat Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) said to me: I witnessed the time at Hudaybiyyah when we were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), it started to rain, and the sky had not even made the soles of our shoes wet when the caller of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) announced: "Pray in your tents."
Hadith 20705
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْحُدَيْبِيَةِ ، فَأَصَابَنَا مَطَرٌ لَمْ يَبُلَّ أَسْفَلَ نِعَالِنَا ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ " .

Hadith 20706
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، وَابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى عَنْ جُلُودِ السِّبَاعِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Usama Huzali that the Prophet (peace be upon him) forbade wearing the skins of predatory animals.
Hadith 20707
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ ، قَالَ : خَرَجْتُ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ مَطِيرَةٍ ، فَلَمَّا رَجَعْتُ اسْتَفْتَحْتُ ، فَقَالَ أَبِي : مَنْ هَذَا ؟ قَالُوا : أَبُو الْمَلِيحِ ، قَالَ : لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ زَمَنَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ وَأَصَابَتْنَا سَمَاءٌ ، لَمْ تَبُلَّ أَسَافِلَ نِعَالِنَا ، فَنَادَى مُنَادِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَنْ صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ " .

Hadith 20708
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، وَحَجَّاجٌ ، حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْمَلِيحِ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَيْتٍ يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَقْبَلُ صَلَاةً بِغَيْرِ طُهُورٍ ، وَلَا صَدَقَةً مِنْ غُلُولٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying in a house that Allah Almighty does not accept prayer without purification, nor charity from wealth acquired through betrayal of spoils.
Hadith 20709
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَكْرٍ السُّهَيْمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ قَوْمِهِ أَعْتَقَ شَقِيصًا لَهُ مِنْ مَمْلُوكٍ ، فَرَفَعَ ذَلِكَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَجَعَلَ خَلَاصَهُ عَلَيْهِ فِي مَالِهِ ، وَقَالَ : " لَيْسَ لِلَّهِ شَرِيكٌ " . .
It is narrated from Hazrat Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man from his tribe freed his share in a slave. This matter was presented before the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) made his complete emancipation obligatory from his wealth and said: There is no partner with Allah Almighty.
Hadith 20710
Bahz narrated to us, from Hammam, who said: The hadith of the shakis regarding the slave is mursal.
Hadith 20711

Hadith 20714
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْمَلِيحِ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَا يَقْبَلُ صَدَقَةً مِنْ غُلُولٍ ، وَلَا صَلَاةً بِغَيْرِ طُهُورٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying in a house that Allah Almighty does not accept prayer without purification, nor charity from misappropriated spoils of war.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ هُذَيْلٍ أَعْتَقَ شَقِيصًا لَهُ مِنْ مَمْلُوكٍ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " هُوَ حُرٌّ كُلُّهُ ، لَيْسَ لِلَّهِ شَرِيكٌ " . .

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِهِ ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ مِنْ هُذَيْلٍ.
Abu Sa'id narrated to us, Hammam narrated to us, from Qatadah, from al-Hasan, from Samurah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, with similar (words), and he did not mention from Hudhayl.
Hadith 20718
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِهِ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ عَنْ أَبِيهِ
Abu Sa'id narrated to us, Hammam narrated to us from Qatadah from Al-Hasan from Samurah from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, with the same (report), and he did not mention "from his father."
Hadith 20719
حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْعَوَّامِ ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الْخِتَانُ سُنَّةٌ لِلرِّجَالِ ، مَكْرُمَةٌ لِلنِّسَاءِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Circumcision is a Sunnah for men and an honor for women.
Hadith 20720
حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَ مُنَادِيَهُ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ فِي يَوْمٍ مَطِيرٍ ، فَنَادَى : " الصَّلَاةُ فِي الرِّحَالِ " .
