حَدِيثُ رَجُلٍ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Hadith of a man who heard the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Hadith 20691
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَمَّنْ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ : " فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لا يُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهُ أَحَدٌ وَلا يُوثِقُ وَثَاقَهُ أَحَدٌ سورة الفجر آية 25 - 26 " يَعْنِي يَفْعَلُ بِهِ ، قَالَ خَالِدٌ : وَسَأَلْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ ، قَالَ فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لا يُعَذِّبُ سورة الفجر آية 25 ، أَيْ يَفْعَلُ بِهِ .
It is narrated from a companion that he heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) reciting the verse "Fayawma’idhin la yu’azzibu ‘adhabahu ahad" in the passive form (that is, with a fatha on the dhal in "yu’azzibu" and a fatha on the tha in "yuwthaqu"), meaning that on that day, no one will be punished like him, and no one will be bound like him.
