Hadith 20668
حَدَّثَنَا
عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا
حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا
سَعِيدٌ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ ، عَنْ
أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، قَالَ : مَرِضَ
رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ أَصْحَابُهُ يَعُودُونَهُ ، فَبَكَى ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ مَا يُبْكِيكَ يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ ؟ أَلَمْ يَقُلْ لَكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
" خُذْ مِنْ شَارِبِكَ ، ثُمَّ اقْرِرْهُ حَتَّى تَلْقَانِي " ؟ قَالَ : بَلَى . وَلَكِنِّي وَلَكِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى قَبَضَ قَبْضَةً بِيَمِينِهِ ، فَقَالَ : هَذِهِ لِهَذِهِ وَلَا أُبَالِي ، وَقَبِضَ قَبْضَةً أُخْرَى يَعْنِي بِيَدِهِ الْأُخْرَى ، فَقَالَ : هَذِهِ لِهَذِهِ وَلَا أُبَالِي " ، فَلَا أَدْرِي فِي أَيِّ الْقَبْضَتَيْنِ أَنَا .
Abu Nazrah says that some companions came to visit a companion whose name was mentioned as Abu Abdullah, and saw that he was crying. They asked the reason for his crying and said, "Did the Prophet (peace be upon him) not say to you: Trim your mustaches and keep doing so consistently until you meet me?" He replied, "Why not, but I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say: Allah Almighty took a handful of dust with His right hand and took another handful with His other hand and said, 'This handful is for these (people of Paradise) and this handful is for these (people of Hell), and I do not care.' Now I do not know in which handful I was."
