Hadith 20637
Hazrat Aiz bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him), who was among the extremely pious companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him), once went to Ubaidullah bin Ziyad and said: I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say, "The worst guardian is a tyrant ruler. Beware of being among them." Ibn Ziyad (disrespectfully) said, "Sit down, you are just the dregs left over from Muhammad's companions." Hazrat Aiz replied, "Can there be dregs among the companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him)? This only happens among those who come later and among other people besides them."
Hadith 20638
Abu Shamir Duba'i says that I heard Hazrat 'Aiz bin 'Amr forbidding (the use of) dubba', hantam, and muzaffat, so I asked whether he was saying this on the authority of the Prophet (peace be upon him)? He replied, "Yes!"
Hadith 20639

It is narrated from Hazrat Aiz (may Allah be pleased with him) that once there was a clear shortage of water, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution in a bowl or tub, and we sprinkled its drops over ourselves, and in our eyes, the person who received that water was very fortunate, and we think that everyone received that water. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in the morning prayer.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aiz bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that Hazrat Salman, Suhaib, and Bilal were sitting with some people when Abu Sufyan bin Harb passed by. These companions said, "By Allah, the swords of Allah have not yet properly struck the necks of Allah's enemies." Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) heard this and said, "Are you saying this to the elder and chief of the Quraysh?" When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was informed of this incident, he said, "O Abu Bakr, perhaps you have angered these people? For if you have angered them, then Allah will be angry with you." Upon hearing this, Hazrat Abu Bakr went to those people and said, "Brothers, perhaps you are angry with me?" They replied, "No, O Abu Bakr! May Allah forgive you."
Hadith 20641
The previous hadith is narrated through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 20642
It is narrated, probably as a marfu’ hadith, from Hazrat ‘Aidh (may Allah be pleased with him): Whoever receives something from this provision should use it to bring ease to his sustenance, and if he does not need it, he should give it to someone who is more in need than himself. It is narrated from Hazrat ‘Aidh bin ‘Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that Hazrat Salman, Suhaib, and Bilal were sitting with some people... then the narrator mentioned the complete hadith. It is narrated from Hazrat ‘Aidh (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), then he mentioned the hadith regarding the issue.

Affan narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, Thabit informed us, from Muawiyah ibn Qurrah, from Aidh ibn Amr, that Suhaib, Salman, and Bilal were sitting, and he mentioned something similar, except that he said: Then the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, came, and he informed him of that, so he said: "O Abu Bakr..."
Hadith 20644
Narrated to us by Rawh, narrated to us by Bistam ibn Muslim, he said: I heard Khalifah ibn Abd Allah al-Ghubari say: I heard A’idh ibn Amr al-Muzani say: "While we were with our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him," then he mentioned the hadith of al-Mas’alah.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aiz (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when a Bedouin came and began to beg earnestly. He was saying, "O Messenger of Allah, feed me something; O Messenger of Allah, give me something." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up and went into his house, held both doors of his chamber, turned towards us, and said, "By Him in whose hand is the life of Muhammad, if you knew what I know about asking, then no person who had enough provisions to spend a night would ask anything from another." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered food to be given to him.

It is narrated, most likely as marfu’, from Hazrat Aiz (may Allah be pleased with him) that whoever receives something from his sustenance without asking for it, he should accept it.
