حَدِيثُ قُرَّةَ الْمُزَنِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of Qurrah al-Muzani (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 20361
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ قُرَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا فَسَدَ أَهْلُ الشَّامِ ، فَلَا خَيْرَ فِيكُمْ ، وَلَنْ تَزَالَ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي مَنْصُورِينَ ، لَا يَضُرُّهُمْ مَنْ خَذَلَهُمْ ، حَتَّى تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Qurrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When turmoil spreads among the people of Syria, there will be no good left among you, and some of my followers will always remain victorious and triumphant until the Day of Resurrection, and they will not care about anyone's abandonment of support.
Hadith 20362
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : " مَسَحَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى رَأْسِي " .
Hazrat Qarra (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed his hand over my head.
Hadith 20363
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ مِخْرَاقٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ قُرَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي لَأَذْبَحُ الشَّاةَ وَإِنِّي أَرْحَمُهَا أَوْ قَالَ : إِنِّي لَأَرْحَمُ الشَّاةَ أَنْ أَذْبَحَهَا , فَقَالَ : " وَالشَّاةُ إِنْ رَحِمْتَهَا ، رَحِمَكَ اللَّهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Qurrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man submitted in the court of the Prophet, "O Messenger of Allah, when I slaughter a goat, I feel pity for it." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said twice, "If you have mercy on the goat, Allah will have mercy on you."
Hadith 20364
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " صِيَامُ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ ، صِيَامُ الدَّهْرِ وَإِفْطَارُهُ " .
Muawiyah bin Qurrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from his father that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding fasting three days every month that it is equivalent to fasting and breaking the fast every day.
Hadith 20365
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : إِنَّ رَجُلًا كَانَ يَأْتِي النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَعَهُ ابْنٌ لَهُ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَتُحِبُّهُ " فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَحَبَّكَ اللَّهُ كَمَا أُحِبُّهُ ، فَفَقَدَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : " مَا فَعَلَ ابْنُ فُلَانٍ ؟ " قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَاتَ , فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأَبِيهِ : " أَمَا تُحِبُّ أَنْ لَا تَأْتِيَ بَابًا مِنْ أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ إِلَّا وَجَدْتَهُ يَنْتَظِرُكَ ؟ " فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَلَهُ خَاصَّةً ، أَوْ لِكُلِّنَا ؟ قَالَ : " بَلْ لِكُلِّكُمْ " . .
It is narrated from Hazrat Qurrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man used to bring his son to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Once, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked this man, "Do you love your son?" He replied, "O Messenger of Allah, as much as I love him, may Allah love you in the same way." Then that man stopped attending the gatherings of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "What happened to that man?" People informed him, "O Messenger of Allah, his son has passed away." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him, "Do you not like that whichever door of Paradise you go to, you find him waiting for you?" A man asked, "O Messenger of Allah, is this ruling specific to him or for all of us?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "It is for all of you."
Hadith 20366
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ , ويزيد , أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ قُرَّةَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ رَجُلًا كَانَ يَأْتِي النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ.
Muhammad ibn Ja'far and Yazid narrated to us, Shu'bah informed us, he said: I heard Mu'awiyah ibn Qurrah narrating from his father that a man used to come to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and mentioned the like of it.
Hadith 20367
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا فَسَدَ أَهْلُ الشَّامِ ، فَلَا خَيْرَ فِيكُمْ ، وَلَا يَزَالُ نَاسٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي مَنْصُورِينَ ، لَا يُبَالُونَ مَنْ خَذَلَهُمْ ، حَتَّى تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Qurrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When turmoil spreads among the people of Syria, there will be no good left among you, and some of my followers will always remain victorious and triumphant until the Day of Resurrection, and they will not care about anyone's abandonment of support.
Hadith 20368
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ يَعْنِي الْأَشْيَبَ , وَأَبُو النَّضْرِ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ قُشَيْرٍ ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ , قَالَ أَبُو النَّضْرِ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُرْوَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ قُشَيْرٍ أَبُو مَهَلٍ الْجُعْفِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ قُرَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : " أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي رَهْطٍ مِنْ مُزَيْنَةَ فَبَايَعْنَاهُ ، وَإِنَّ قَمِيصَهُ لَمُطْلَقٌ ، قَالَ : فَبَايَعْنَاهُ ، ثُمَّ أَدْخَلْتُ يَدِي فِي جَيْبِ قَمِيصِهِ فَمَسِسْتُ الْخَاتَمَ " , قَالَ عُرْوَةُ : فَمَا رَأَيْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ وَلَا ابْنَهُ قَالَ : وَأُرَاهُ يَعْنِي إِيَاسًا فِي شِتَاءٍ قَطُّ وَلَا حَرٍّ إِلَّا مُطْلِقَيْ إِزرَارِهِمَا لَا يَزُرَّانِ.
Hazrat Muawiyah bin Qurrah narrates from his father: I came to the service of the Prophet (peace be upon him) with a group from the tribe of Muzaynah. We pledged allegiance to the Prophet (peace be upon him). At that time, the buttons of his shirt were open. After the pledge, with the permission of the Prophet (peace be upon him), I put my hand inside his blessed shirt and touched and saw the Seal of Prophethood. The narrator of the hadith, Urwah, says: In cold or heat, whenever I saw Muawiyah and his son, I always saw the buttons of their shirts open; they would never fasten the buttons.
Hadith 20369
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ قُرَّةَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ , قَالَ : " أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاسْتَأْذَنْتُهُ أَنْ أُدْخِلَ يَدِي فِي جُرُبَّانِهِ لِيَدْعُوَ لِي ، فَمَا مَنَعَهُ وَأَنَا أَلْمِسُهُ أَنْ دَعَا لِي ، قَالَ : فَوَجَدْتُ عَلَى نُغْضِ كَتِفِهِ مِثْلَ السِّلْعَةِ " .
Hazrat Muawiyah bin Qurrah narrates from his father that he presented himself before the Prophet (peace be upon him) and requested to put his hand inside the blessed shirt of the Prophet and to pray for him. The Prophet (peace be upon him) did not stop me, and I touched and saw the Seal of Prophethood. During this, the Prophet (peace be upon him) prayed for me. I felt that the Seal of Prophethood was raised like a lump on his shoulder.
Hadith 20370
حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ : " أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَدَعَا لَهُ ، وَمَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ " .
Abu Ayas narrates from his father that he presented himself before the Prophet (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) prayed for him and passed his hand over his head.
Hadith 20371
حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " فِي صِيَامِ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ صَوْمُ الدَّهْرِ وَإِفْطَارُهُ " .
