حَدِيثُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَوَالَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ
Hadith of ‘Abd Allah ibn Hawalah (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 20355
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ لَقِيطٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَوَالَةَ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ نَجَا مِنْ ثَلَاثٍ ، فَقَدْ نَجَا ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ : مَوْتِي ، وَالدَّجَّالِ ، وَقَتْلِ خَلِيفَةٍ مُصْطَبِرٍ بِالْحَقِّ مُعْطِيهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah bin Hawalah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever is saved from three things is indeed saved—he said this three times: my death, the Dajjal, and the killing of a steadfast caliph upon the truth.
Hadith 20356
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ , وَهَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَكْحُولٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَوَالَةَ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " سَيَكُونُ جُنْدٌ بِالشَّامِ وَجُنْدٌ بِالْيَمَنِ " فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ : فَخِرْ لِي يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِذَا كَانَ ذَلِكَ , فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " عَلَيْكَ بِالشَّامِ ، عَلَيْكَ بِالشَّامِ ثَلَاثًا عَلَيْكَ بِالشَّامِ فَمَنْ أَبَى فَلْيَلْحَقْ بِيَمَنِهِ ، وَلْيَسْقِ مِنْ غُدُرِهِ ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى قَدْ تَكَفَّلَ لِي بِالشَّامِ وَأَهْلِهِ " ، قَالَ أَبُو النَّضْرِ مَرَّتَيْنِ : فَلْيَلْحَقْ بِيَمَنِهِ.
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Hawalah that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Soon there will be an army in Syria and one in Yemen. A man asked, "O Messenger of Allah, when this happens, give preference to one for me." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said three times, "Make Syria obligatory upon yourself. Whoever cannot do so should go to Yemen and drink from its wells, for Allah has taken responsibility for Syria and the people of Syria on my behalf."
