وَمِنْ حَدِيثِ صُحَارٍ الْعَبْدِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ
And from the hadith of Sahar al-Abdi (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 20339
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ صُحَارٍ الْعَبْدِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي رَجُلٌ مِسْقَامٌ ، " فَأْذَنْ لِي فِي جَرِيرَةٍ أَنْتَبِذُ فِيهَا , قَالَ : فَأَذِنَ لَهُ فِيهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Sahar Abdi that I requested the Prophet (peace be upon him), "I am a sick man, grant me permission to prepare nabidh in a jug." So the Prophet (peace be upon him) granted me permission.
Hadith 20340
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْجُرَيْرِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ صُحَارٍ الْعَبْدِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يُخْسَفَ بِقَبَائِلَ ، حَتَّى يُقَالَ : مَنْ بَقِيَ مِنْ بَنِي فُلَانٍ ؟ فَعَرَفْتُ أَنَّهُ يَعْنِي الْعَرَبَ ، لِأَنَّ الْعَجَمَ إِنَّمَا تُنْسَبُ إِلَى قُرَاهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Sahar Abdi that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: The Hour will not be established until some tribes are swallowed up by the earth, and people will begin to ask, "How many people are left from such-and-such tribe?" When I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mention tribes, I understood that this referred to the Arabs, because non-Arabs are attributed to their cities.
