It is narrated from Hazrat Muawiyah Bahzi (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): I had sworn so many times (opening the fingers of his hands to count) that I would not come to you, but now I have come to you, so tell me, with what has Allah sent you? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah has sent me with Islam. He asked: What is Islam? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: To bear witness that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is His servant and Messenger, and to establish prayer and pay zakat. These two things are supportive, and Allah does not accept the repentance of the one who, after accepting Islam, falls back into polytheism. I asked: O Messenger of Allah! Does our wife have a right over us? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When you eat, feed her; when you wear clothes, clothe her; do not strike her on the face; do not abuse her; and if you separate from her, do so only within the house. Then he said three times: All of you will be gathered here (pointing towards Syria), some of you riding, some walking, and some dragged on their faces. On the Day of Resurrection, you will be in the form of seventy complete nations, and you will be the last of them and the most honorable in the sight of Allah. On the Day of Resurrection, when you are presented, a seal will be set upon your mouths, and the first thing to speak will be your thigh.

It is narrated from Hazrat Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In earlier times there was a man whom Allah Almighty had blessed with abundant wealth and children. Time passed until one era ended and another began. When his death approached, he said to his children, "O my children! What kind of father have I been to you?" They replied, "The best father." He said, "Will you obey one request of mine now?" They said, "Yes." He said, "Listen, when I die, burn me in fire and keep me in the fire until I become charcoal. Then crush that charcoal in a mortar (he showed with a hand gesture), and on a windy day, scatter my ashes into the sea. Perhaps in this way I will not meet Allah." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: By Allah! They did exactly as he had asked, but at that very moment he was in Allah's grasp. Allah asked him, "O son of Adam! What made you do this?" He replied, "My Lord! Your fear." Allah Almighty, due to the blessing of that fear, forgave him.

It is narrated from Hazrat Muawiyah Bahzi (may Allah be pleased with him) that once his brother Malik said to him, "Muawiyah! Muhammad (peace be upon him) has captured my neighbors. You go to him, he knows you and talks to you." I went with my brother. He requested the Prophet (peace be upon him) to release his neighbors, saying that they had become Muslims. The Prophet (peace be upon him) turned away from his request. (My brother) stood stubbornly and said softly, "By Allah! If you do this, people will think that you command something and then violate it yourself." He kept speaking, and I was dragging my cloak along, when the Prophet (peace be upon him) asked, "What were you saying?" (He remained silent.) People informed the Prophet (peace be upon him) that he was saying, "If you do this, people will think that you command something and then violate it yourself." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Can people say such a thing? Even if I did this, its effect would be upon me, not upon them. Release his neighbors."
