It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) that we reached Makkah Mukarramah with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), performed the circumambulation (tawaf) of the House of Allah, prayed behind Maqam Ibrahim, and performed the sa’i between Safa and Marwah. During this time, in order to protect the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) from the harm of the polytheists, we kept him in our protection. It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the occasion of the Battle of Ahzab, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated against the armies of the polytheists, saying: “O Allah, the One Who sent down the Book! The One Who quickly takes account! The One Who defeats the armies! Defeat them and shake them.” The narrator says that I saw a mark of a wound on the arm of Hazrat Ibn Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him), so I asked, “What is this?” He replied, “I received this during the Battle of Hunayn.” I asked him, “Did you participate in the Battle of Hunayn with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?” He replied, “Yes! In fact, I participated in the earlier battles as well.”
Hadith 19132
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: O Allah! All praise is for You, abundant, excellent, and blessed praise.
Hadith 19133
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) that when someone would bring the zakat of his wealth to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would supplicate for him. One day, I also brought the zakat of my father's wealth, so the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah, send blessings upon the family of Abu Awfa."

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were standing in a row behind the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) performing prayer, when a man came and joined the row and said, "Allahu Akbar Kabira, wa Subhan Allah bukratan wa aseela." At this, the Muslims began to raise their heads and disliked this person, thinking in their hearts, "Who is this man who is raising his voice above the voice of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)?" When the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) finished the prayer, he said, "Who is the one with the loud voice?" It was told, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! It is this person." The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "By Allah! I saw that your words ascended to the heavens until a door was opened and they entered it." The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain.

He replied, "No." I said, "Then how did he command the Muslims to make a will while he himself did not make one?" He replied, "The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) made a will to act upon the Book of Allah (but did not make any specific will to anyone)."

Hazrat Ibn Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) was among the participants of the Pledge of Ridwan. One of his daughters passed away. He was riding a mule and following her funeral procession when the women began to weep. He said to the women, "Do not recite elegies, for the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the recitation of elegies. However, any woman among you who wishes to shed tears may do so." Then he said four takbirs over her funeral, and after the fourth takbir, he stood for as long as the interval between two takbirs and supplicated. Then he said, "The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to do the same in funerals."
