حَدِيثُ الصُّنَابِحِيِّ الْأَحْمُسِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of al-Sunabihi al-Ahmasi (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 19083
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، وَوَكِيعٌ ، قَالَا : حدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي قَيْسٌ ، عَنِ الصُّنَابِحِيِّ الْأَحْمَسِيِّ . قَالَ وَكِيعٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : الصُّنَابِحِيّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنَا فَرَطُكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ ، وَإِنِّي مُكَاثِرٌ بِكُمْ الْأُمَمَ فَلَا تَقْتَتِلُنَّ بَعْدِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Sanabahi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I will wait for you at the Pond of Kawthar and I will take pride in your numbers over the other communities, so do not start killing one another after me.
Hadith 19084
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ قَيْسَ بْنَ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الصُّنَابِحِيَّ الْبَجَلِيَّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " أَنَا فَرَطُكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ ، وَمُكَاثِرٌ بِكُمْ الْأُمَمَ " قَالَ شُعْبَةُ : أَوْ قَالَ " النَّاسَ ، فَلَا تَقْتَتِلُنَّ بَعْدِي " . .
It is narrated from Hazrat Sanabahi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I will wait for you at the Pond of Kawthar and I will take pride in your great numbers over the other communities, so do not start killing one another after me. The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 19085
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ ، عَنِ الصُّنَابِحِيِّ الْأَحْمَسِيِّ ، مِثْلَهُ.
Narrated to us by Ibn Numayr, from Isma'il, from Qays, from al-Sunabihi al-Ahmasi, the like of it.
Hadith 19086
حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ عَبَّادِ بْنِ حَبِيبِ بْنِ الْمُهَلَّبِ بْنِ أَبِي صُفْرَةَ الْمُهَلَّبِيِّ أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ مُجَالِدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنِ الصُّنَابِحِيّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنِّي مُكَاثِرٌ بِكُمْ الْأُمَمَ ، فَلَا تَرْجِعُنَّ بَعْدِي كُفَّارًا يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ " . .
It is narrated from Hazrat Sanabahi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I will boast of your multitude before the other nations, so do not become disbelievers after me by striking the necks of one another. The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 19087
حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنِ الصُّنَابِحِيِّ ، وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ : الصُّنَابِحِ.
Narrated to us by Yunus, from Hammad ibn Zayd, from al-Sunabihi, and he may have said: al-Sunabih.
Hadith 19088
قُرِئَ عَلَى سُفْيَانَ وَأَنَا شَاهِدٌ ، سَمِعْتُ مَعْمَرًا يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَزْهَرَ ، قَالَ : جُرِحَ خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، فَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْأَلُ عَنْ رَحْلِهِ ، قُلْتُ وَأَنَا غُلَامٌ : " مَنْ يَدُلُّ عَلَى رَحْلِ خَالِدٍ " فَأَتَاهُ وَهُوَ مَجْرُوحٌ ، فَجَلَسَ عِنْدَهُ .
Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Azhar (may Allah be pleased with him) says that on the occasion of the Battle of Hunayn, Hazrat Khalid bin Walid (may Allah be pleased with him) was wounded. I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) walking among the Muslims who were returning from the battle, and he kept saying, "Who will show me the tent of Khalid bin Walid?" In this way, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reached him and sat down near him.
Hadith 19089
حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، أَخْبَرَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَزْهَرَ ، قَالَ : " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ وَهُوَ يَتَخَلَّلُ النَّاسَ يَسْأَلُ عَنْ رَحْلِ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ ، فَأُتِيَ بِسَكْرَانَ ، فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ كَانَ عِنْدَهُ أَنْ يَضْرِبُوهُ بِمَا كَانَ فِي أَيْدِيهِمْ ، وَحَثَي عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ التُّرَابَ " . .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Azhar (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the Battle of Hunain, I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) making his way through the people and asking about the whereabouts of Hazrat Khalid bin Waleed (may Allah be pleased with him). After a short while, some people brought a man in a state of intoxication to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered those who were with him to strike the man with whatever they had in their hands. So, someone struck him with a stick, and someone with a whip, and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) threw dust on him. The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 19090
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَزْهَرَ الزُّهْرِيُّ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَخَلَّلُ النَّاسَ يَسْأَلُ عَنْ مَنْزِلِ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ ، فَذَكَرَهُ . .
Rawh narrated to us, Usamah ibn Zayd narrated to us, Az-Zuhri narrated to us, 'Abd ar-Rahman ibn Azhar az-Zuhri narrated to me, he said: I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, moving among the people asking about the dwelling of Khalid ibn al-Walid, and he mentioned it...
Hadith 19091
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ . وحدََّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُبَارَكِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنِ الصُّنَابِحِيِّ ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ ، فَذَكَرَهُ . قَالَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ : الصُّنَابِحِيُّ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَجِيلَةَ مِنْ أَحْمَسَ ..
Yaqoub narrated to us, he said: My father narrated to me, from Ibn Ishaq. And Abdullah, meaning Ibn al-Mubarak, narrated to us, Ismail ibn Abi Khalid informed us, from Qais ibn Abi Hazim, from al-Sunabihi, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say it, and he mentioned it.
