Hadith 19079
حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَزْهَرَ ، قَالَ : " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَخَلَّلُ النَّاسَ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ يَسْأَلُ عَنْ مَنْزِلِ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ ، فَأُتِيَ بِسَكْرَانَ ، فَأَمَرَ مَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ أَنْ يَضْرِبُوهُ بِمَا كَانَ فِي أَيْدِيهِمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Azhar (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the day of the Battle of Hunayn, making his way through the people and asking about the whereabouts of Hazrat Khalid bin Walid (may Allah be pleased with him). After a short while, some people brought a man in a state of intoxication to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered those who were with him to strike that person with whatever they had in their hands.
Hadith 19080
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ أَزْهَرَ ، يَقُولُ : " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَزَاةَ الْفَتْحِ وَأَنَا غُلَامٌ شَابٌّ يَتَخَلَّلُ النَّاسَ يَسْأَلُ عَنْ مَنْزِلِ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ ، فَأُتِيَ بِشَارِبٍ ، فَأَمَرَ بِهِ ، فَضَرَبُوهُ بِمَا فِي أَيْدِيهِمْ ، فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ ضَرَبَهُ بِنَعْلِهِ ، وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ ضَرَبَهُ بِعَصًا ، وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ ضَرَبَهُ بِسَوْطٍ ، وَحَثَا عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ التُّرَابَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Azhar (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the Battle of Hunain, I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) making his way through the people and asking about the whereabouts of Hazrat Khalid bin Waleed (may Allah be pleased with him). So, some struck him with a stick, and some with a whip, and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) threw dust on him.
Hadith 19081
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : وَكَانَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَزْهَرَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ خَرَجَ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَكَانَ عَلَى الْخَيْلِ خَيْلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ ابْنُ أَزْهَرَ : فَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْدَمَا هَزَمَ اللَّهُ الْكُفَّارَ ، وَرَجَعَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ إِلَى رِحَالِهِمْ يَمْشِي فِي الْمُسْلِمِينَ ، وَيَقُولُ : " مَنْ يَدُلُّ عَلَى رَحْلِ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ " قَالَ : فَمَشَيْتُ أَوْ فَسَعَيْتُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَأَنَا مُحْتَلِمٌ ، أَقُولُ : مَنْ يَدُلُّ عَلَى رَحْلِ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ حَتَّى تَخَلَّلْنَا عَلَى رَحْلِهِ ، فَإِذَا خَالِدٌ مُسْتَنِدٌ إِلَى مُؤْخِرَةِ رَحْلِهِ ، فَأَتَاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَنَظَرَ إِلَى جُرْحِهِ ، قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ : وَحَسِبْتُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : وَنَفَثَ فِيهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Azhar (may Allah be pleased with him) says that on the occasion of the Battle of Hunain, Hazrat Khalid bin Waleed (may Allah be pleased with him) was wounded. He was riding the horse of the Noble Prophet. After the defeat of the disbelievers, I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) walking among the Muslims who were returning from the battle, and he kept saying, "Who will show me the tent of Khalid bin Waleed?" At that time, I was an underage boy. I started running ahead of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), saying, "Who will show the tent of Khalid bin Waleed?" Until we reached his tent, where Hazrat Khalid (may Allah be pleased with him) was sitting, leaning against the back of his saddle. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came and looked at his wound, then applied his blessed saliva to it.
Hadith 19082
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنْ صَالِحٍ ، وَحَدَّثَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ أَزْهَرَ كَانَ يُحَدِّثُ : " أَنَّهُ حَضَرَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ كَانَ يَحْثِي فِي وُجُوهِهِمْ التُّرَابَ " . قَالَ أَبِي : وَهَذَا يَتْلُو حَدِيثَ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ قَبِيصَةَ فِي شَارِبِ الْخَمْرِ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Azhar (may Allah be pleased with him) that I was present at the time when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was putting soil into the mouth of a wine drinker.
