حَدِيثُ سِنَانِ بْنِ سَنَّةَ صَاحِبِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Hadith of Sinan ibn Sinna, companion of the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Hadith 19014
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ : وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ هَارُونَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي حُرَّةَ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ حَكِيمِ بْنِ أَبِي حُرَّةَ ، عَنْ سِنَانِ بْنِ سَنَّةَ ، صَاحِبِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الطَّاعِمُ الشَّاكِرُ لَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِ الصَّائِمِ الصَّابِرِ " . .
It is narrated from Hazrat Sinan bin Sanah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The one who eats and gives thanks is equal in reward to the one who fasts and is patient. The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain.
Hadith 19015
قال عبد الله بن أحمد : حَدَّثَنَاه أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ الطَّوِيلُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ مِثْلَهُ.
Abdullah ibn Ahmad said: Ahmad ibn Hatim al-Tawil narrated to us, Abdul Aziz al-Darawardi narrated to us, the same.
Hadith 19016
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ حَرْمَلَةَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ هِنْدٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ حَرْمَلَةَ بْنَ عَمْرٍو وَهُوَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : حَجَجْتُ حَجَّةَ الْوَدَاعِ مُرْدِفِي عَمِّي سِنَانُ بْنُ سَنَّةَ ، قَالَ : فَلَمَّا وَقَفْنَا بِعَرَفَاتٍ ، رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاضِعًا إِحْدَى أُصْبُعَيْهِ عَلَى الْأُخْرَى ، فَقُلْتُ لِعَمِّي : مَاذَا يَقُولُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَ : يَقُولُ : " ارْمُوا الْجَمْرَةَ بِمِثْلِ حَصَى الْخَذْفِ " .
Harmalah bin Amr says that I participated in the Farewell Pilgrimage sitting behind my uncle Hazrat Sinan bin Sanah (may Allah be pleased with him). When we stood in the plain of Arafat, I saw the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that he had placed one finger over the other. I asked my uncle, "What is the Prophet (peace be upon him) saying?" He replied that the Prophet (peace be upon him) is saying: "To throw pebbles at the Jamarat like the pieces of a date stone, or pebbles like this."
